I feel that more attention needs to be brought to this guy: Julien Motherfuckin' Dupont I think the Urban Trial in Lyon video has been linked on here a couple times. I haven't seen any of his other stuff. I would link to a video, but there's way too many awesome ones, so here's the YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/priscadupontandco Pre-emptively, yeah, I realize he's been around for a couple years, but still. I stopped by ProItalia's annual Cafe Desmo bike show today in Glendale for a few minutes. As always there were a lot of really cool bikes to drool over. The Martini livery d16rr was bad rear end This custom looked like it was originally an 848. Yellow '93 Superlight. I really like that exhaust. Newer Agusta Sweet Bayliss replica 996 This Lamborghini Superleggera was the lead car for the organized group ride up Angeles Crest to Newcomb's Here's a bad picture of my 998 parked next to probably the only Harley. Out with the old, in with the new? It sure didn't take long for the number 46 livery to appear to come out. This bike is an 848 Evo There were a couple of Stoner bikes, both 27 and 1. The 250 2-stroke Honda from last year made an appearance as well. All in all it was a decent show. I regret not having more time to walk around and especially missing out on the ride up the Crest. I'll just leave you a pic of one of the roaming umbrella girls sitting on a MV

I saw this bike parked by some of the condos just off the main strip of Harajuku. The only info on it I have is that it said "real hopper" on it. I would love to own one of these some day but I'm guessing the price is outrageous, every little part of it looked expensive. He's one of the few custom builders I'd like to own a bike from. A little internet sleuthing turns up a limited production run "Road Hopper", marketed as designed by Zero Engineering. I don't know if the one you pictured is the original, one of the production, or a replica. Stormangel fucked around with this message at 07:36 on Aug 23, 2010 |

Went to lunch with some friends yesterday - as we're waiting, a guy rolls in positively *covered* in 1%er patches...on this. The pictures of it parked don't do it any justice at all. The cafe-style fairing and small Honda VF500 chin fairing really did look sharp. Nice guy, too (if you ignore the swastikas drawn in sharpie on the trailing edge of the seat). Said he 'only' had about 4000 miles into this trip, and this (his 'new' bike) only had about 9500 miles on it. He retired his 'old' bike (an FLX? Harley Alphabet Soup is not my strong suit) at 145,000 miles. He said he liked the way the fairing got the windblast off his chest without being a barn door, and that meant he could ride all day comfortably. Said it was so hot on Saturday that his deodorant melted in the bag on the back. Said he had to buy new deodorant, but his riding gloves sure smelled nice.

Some pictures from our trip to Colorado. Btw a 4.0 V6 Ranger didn't really appreciate towing three bikes across Nebraska but did it without a hiccup. Me trying to negotiate a tight curve My friend loving his Super Duke in the tight stuff Another friend of mine who hasn't ridden in 25-30 years picked up the Ninja 500 just before our trip. We had to wait for him a lot at stop signs and whatnot but he sure does love the kawi. even if ain altitude going uphill it wouldn't pass 73 (SHHH the honda was barely creeping over 100 at some points) Something I wish I could see more of, but there's just not that great of riding here in Nebraska And other mid corner shot. not much lean but it is only a 20mph corner, Viffer is better at long sweepers

Phy posted:Sweet crap in a hat, a 1%er with a full-face! It's weird, I've actually been seeing a lot of full face helmets on "bikers". Some prospects from the mongols were at one of my bars one night, and a few of them were wearing full helmets too. Maybe they're realizing a black helmet with black visor looks way more bad rear end than those gay little yarmulkes they love so much?

Could be a response to these bike-only checkpoints, as in, the 1%ers not giving them anything to pull them up on.

I finally collected the footage from a friend that we recorded. My 2nd time at a race track, my friend on the white R6's first time, and a friend on the orange DRZ has been to another track once before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSmObSEaAe8 I was gonna add some type of "hardcore" music, but realizing we're all a bunch of new guys I decided to edit it around a cheerful and fun song, like we're kids at a playground.

Slim Pickens posted:Motorcycle roller coasters, gently caress yeah That's perfect. Whenever I'm trying to describe why motorcycles are so brilliant to non-riders, I say: "Imagine the best roller coaster you've ever been on. Now imagine it has no line, is hundreds of miles long, is much sharper and tighter, is faster then any roller coaster ever made, and has no seat belts or safety harnesses."
