so APPARENTLY its weird for a cat to try and bury its food dish after eating. every cat ive ever had would try to bury their food after eating to hide it for later (cause they free feed) and end up just adorably pawing at the kitchen floor

but a friend of mine had never ever seen a cat do this and he asked around and nobody he knew had ever seen a cat do that

huh, i've had four cats over the years and all of them did that. now, one of them was more or less feral so idk, but the other three were house cats. they did that well into adulthood. i guess they eventually get over the "oh god food left over must dig dig dig" instinct.

maybe your friends keep getting broken cattes?? :iiam:

i also don't have a feeding time for my cattes, i just fill the bowl and they graze (this is mostly cause of my dog who also eats catte food, he won't sit down and eat, he needs to snack)
