so 173 pretty much owned, lots of decent plot with a pretty sweet fight, plus the animation was definitely above average and in a way that won't make the sperglords uh...sperg out

Ninja Storm 2 trailer from GamesCom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0ijKvXFBGs Demo out August 25. Killer B confirmed but only in the form of a punching bag for other characters. Lots of really cool set-pieces as you would expect. Gameplay looks a lot like the Gamecube games.

I love that they don't even bother to try and make Karin look cool in that video. Everyone else, even Jugo and Suigetsu get some cool moves in - she just hits Sakura with an explosive tag and looks bitchy. My what a cool and useful character Ms  is.

That game looks rad. Konan looks like a pretty neat character, I always wished she got more fights in the series. But I tend to think that way about every character who isn't Sasuke.

I bought the first Ninja Storm game but even with it's fantastic animation it was pretty terrible thanks to a hellishly tedious single-player campaign that you had to do to get the rest of the characters and the lack of online multi-player. I'm looking forward to the sequel but I'm going hold off buying it until I read some reviews to see if they addressed the horrible campaign portion.

It all depends on how long it is. I don't mind the short ones like bubble nin, and even the first filler arc with demon wig wasn't extremely long. Although I would probably make that the high end of the tolerance bar.

Oh god, speaking of in episode recap. I was flipping channels the other night and the shippuden dub is in the middle/end of the sasuke/sai arc. The episode I happened to catch was one of the worst perpetrators of in episode recapping. The group was standing there talking, when they went into a flashback. I flipped around some more and came back almost halfway through the episode and they had just stopped talking and started moving along.

This past arc was pretty well done and this past episodes ending was great to see how far Naruto has come with the people. Not looking forward to the next 3 fillers or the whole look how many different shapes my eyes can make. for those who read the manga, Do you think now that naruto has control of the nine tails chakra he will be able to merge with the frogs to enter sage mode or maybe enter into sage mode while bringing the chakra of the nine tails out.

Yup. I was almost sure that this was supposed to be the original end of the Naruto story right here, especially after all the absolute poo poo that follows from this point. It really sucked that they introduced Nagata, and then immediately said "Tricked ya! He's not the real leader!" before we even got a chance to see him do stuff.

I really enjoyed how they flash backed to all of narutos adventures and showed how the villagers reacted. It was a nice touch for stuff they never really talked about before, especially beyond the generic "we hate him because hes a monster" that the original series shoved down our throat. Did we ever get a resolution to Narutos official ninja rank still being a Genin? or are we suppose to forget the rank system at this point? I just figure there would be more smart-rear end comments from people or something

It never really came up since the beginning of shippuuden. I think a lot of people disregard naruto's gennin rank because they know he was off training with jiraiya for two years.

Since we're going into filler I thought I'd ask are any of the Naruto movies any good? I've never bothered to watch any of them because I was under the impression that they weren't canon and of course all of the non canon Naruto I've experienced was terrible. But are there ones I should be checking out?
