Just rolled out 1.1.0: - Revamped settings page which shows previews of settings - Uses the forums quote parser to hopefully alleviate all of the quick reply quoting issues - Lots of other stuff If there was a bug you reported that didn't get fixed, report it on salr.uservoice.com. Also, live preview for quick reply is pretty much done but I turned off the option in this release until I feel motivated enough to fix some annoying issues with it.

Just a thought. I know there are plenty of other extensions out there for this but what about auto-refresh on the UC panel. Is it something that people would use?

Actually, in my lack-of-caffeine haze, I meant having the omnibar button have a dropdown list of updated threads.

Hmm, I've enabled images to links to save my poor mobile data connection (no internet at my new place yet!) - I think we should add a tickbox to allow exceptions for smilies

For my next trick, how about the ability to completely remove from the front page. Is this something people would be interested in? I was just staring at the forum index and thinking 'gently caress, I only visit like, four of these subforums...' I could even have the 'removed' ones appear in an expandable list at the bottom of the page.

If you only ever go to a handful of forums, just add them to your bookmark bar at the top of your browser. Hell, I've got 11 forum links up there. I hardly ever visit the forum list.

Rohaq posted:I never use my bookmark list; especially not on my netbook where it takes up valuable vertical screen space. Only issue I'd have with creating an option to limit the visible threads is how much of the settings screen would get shitted up by it. That's a lot of options to put in a "catch-all" settings screen. Maybe add an additional feature to the jumplist to hide a forum?

Really loving the updates to SALR and the Preview thing just makes it so much better. Would it be possible to add something like this? IE the Replies notch being colored if you had posted in that thread before. STING 64 fucked around with this message at 23:12 on Sep 4, 2010 |

First off, credit was given a few pages back but due to the comments since releasing the feature, I wanted to point out the settings preview was all SneakingMission. All props to him As for the feature, toss it up on uservoice. I've been stewing on that feature for a while now, know how I want/will implement it, just need to have a motivated evening where I can bang it out. I will probably be hacking on some new stuff this weekend though.

I really like the reworked settings page, really nice job. Somehow SALR Chrome has become nicer than SALR FF, now I can't really use Firefox for browsing SA, I guess that's fine since that means I do more work.

The animation for the quick reply is usually enough to hide the delay, but it's happened to me a couple of times recently. Committed some code which should help. Your settings look fine, but now I'm pretty sure that you have "Colorize threads according to the bookmark category I've assigned" enabled in your forums preferences. Since you have your stars turned off, you can probably turn off that settings and the thread highlighting should work. Sent in code which detects this setting combination and handles it properly. Just rolled out 1.1.1. Quick edit is now available and a handful of fixes all submitted by SneakingMission. Live preview for quick reply will be coming in 1.2.0 as will Waffle Images uploading. Pretty much have the guts built for Waffle Images, but of course the service is down right now.
