I live in California and have basically never seen rust on a car, and this car is in Palm Springs, the most deserted of deserts. Hot Dog Hotline posted:if i had 700 bucks i'd pick this up in a heartbeat!! I owned a 300td before my present car, and it was a blast. It had tons of mileage but it looked great on the inside. However, rust COVERED the bottom and some of the sides, so bad that the rear passenger could drop things right down between their legs and have it fall under the car. I sold mine after doing a little damage and was barely able to get 500. If the price is that low, its because the amount of rust I'm sure. You can even see the floorboards hanging out under the car just as mine had from rusting away.

That photo of the Arrow's speedo reminds me, why the hell did they not have odometers that rolled over at 100k miles for so long? Was there a specific reason the manufacturers avoided adding another number?

Was there a specific reason the manufacturers avoided adding another number? Were they just not expected to live that long? I don't know, I'm wondering the same thing myself. The 55mph speedo was a law from the mid-70's up until '86/87 or so, but the 5 digit odometer escapes me. I remember Toyota commercials from the mid-late 80's touting how many 100k miles they had, I just figured it was an advertising gimmick. Then again, my parents traded in cars every 5/6 years because they simply rusted or failed mechanically and the cost to repair was greater than the trade-in value. A domestic car hitting the 6'th digit was a thing to behold unless you had some mechanical savvy 30 years ago.... fake edit: Avoid a rapist, buy a Toyota!!! I thought this was the one up in Egg Harbor - that one was 3500$ There is a brown 260Z that looks to be in OK condition in the outer Milwaukee area for $1000. Needs a new transmission and who knows what else.

If it's the same as the Egg Harbor one I think that was going for $3500. I haven't seen a Z listed in Wausau all year. If a 200SX is your thing... $1300 makes this one yours: http://greenbay.craigslist.org/cto/1944539473.html Why so cheap?
