I'd be interested in that Fiat if I thought I wouldn't have to spend 9 months getting a Lien on the drat thing. That and the 850 engine isn't the best in the world.

We've been casually batting around the idea at work of putting together a 4-wheel test platform for our electric motorcycle drive train. I'm trying to lobby to use a small vintage car for that purpose. That Fiat Sport Coupe looks great and we could toss the 850!

VanFullOfMidgets posted:Is there something I am missing here, or are ficus trees more valuable than I thought? Large trees of any kind are, if they're transplantable, and particularly in areas without a lot of naturally-occurring trees, as valuable as a beater 50cc scooter. That does not look like a large tree.

A ficus can grow up to 100 ft tall. That's not a large ficus.

I sent him an email saying I had a 50cc Yamaha scooter (which I do, though it is currently waiting on new rings, etc. to come in the mail) I would be willing to trade for his tree (hell, why not), but I am quite worried about owning such a large tree that appears to be growing sideways. Perhaps if the tree could be rotated 90 degrees...

Is it rare? Is it in good condition? Is it priced low? Do the pictures appear to be professional or stock? Do the pictures show a fully detailed car? Are there no license plates in the pictures? Is there no phone number in the ad? Is the ad an image (to make it non-searchable)? Does the ad include a complete list of features that appears to have been copy-and-pasted from a Wikipedia page? Does the ad include pictures that don't match the feature descriptions? These are the basic questions that you should always be asking yourself when you're looking at Craigslist ads. I tended to assume that you all did that, but this is not the first time I've had to say, "Hey, that's not gold, it's a blatantly obvious scam." So, if you answered "Yes" to more than 2 or 3 of those questions... run. If you answered yes to even one of the bold questions, you should probably still run.
