OH poo poo. poo poo just got real in Backlash. Mando raid on the temple, while brief was still awesome. Kind of wished it was a more full blown attack but I can dream. I don't really get why it happened though. I understand daala issued a warning for them to give up the jedi, but it didn't seem like she even waited for a response from the jedi before sending in the mandalorians. And now after the jedi temple was attacked by them, certain JEDI are wanted?.

One thing I have loved about this series so far is the appearances of so many characters from other things. Kyle rayner and his apprentice from jedi academy for example.

Actually, Steam is purely a distribution platform, and neither provides nor enforces any particular standard of compatibility.

After catching up on this thread something came into my mind. During the PT you never hear what the common man/alien/droid has to say about the clones wars, the senate taking away freedoms, Palatine taking full power.

I mean it seems they just get on with their lifes, not giving a poo poo what the people in power do. Lucas could of made it so the masses rise up are crushed by the clones and palatine enforces the empire.

If i was Lucas i wouldn't had palatine as the head of the republic, He should of had count duukuu role with Maul tearing around the galaxy doing dark side things. Oh gently caress it a child could of came up with a better story than the mess hes created.

They're the special editions with updated graphics(original and special edition) and voiceovers. I bought them, I enjoyed Tales of Monkey Island and hadn't played the originals.

Somebody mentioned the layoffs at Lucasarts a while ago and something about stopping external development. Has there been any more news about what this means for Lego Star Wars and possible future Telltale Monkey Island games?

Does anyone else think Lego The Force Unleashed would be a lot of fun? How about Lego New Jedi Order? I think a series of Lego Star Wars games based on some of the worst parts of the EU would be great.

Fun fact about Episode 1: not only do you never actually see the Trade Federation actually cause so much as an inconvenience to the non-military citizens of Naboo, you never actually see a single non-military citizen of Naboo at all.

It's that whole "show, don't tell" problem the prequels have. In Episode 4 the Empire pretty much right away starts strangling prisoners and torturing princesses and incinerating farmers and genociding planets, and sure enough the audience pretty quickly has a reason to be emotionally involved with the heroes' fight against the Empire. Somehow that got left out of the script revisions for the new films.

This reminds me of the Magnolia edits, which subtitled all the alien dialogue it could into more sinister writing. Like when the Nemoidians would normally have bad Asian accent "You will sign the treaty, Queen Amidaraaa" he changed it to "We've already begun executing citizens, should we move onto children?"

So excited to share this news with you, fellow goons. I was looking around the internet for various posters related to star wars, and I found something amazing. Someone on ebay was selling something like 23 10x20 prints of mcquarrie's concept art from empire strikes back. I wasn't sure of the quality but the whole thing cost me 20 bux so I did it anyway. Well they just got here yesterday and these things are gorgeous.

It has a lot from Hoth, a couple on dagobah, and a bunch of exterior/interior bespin paintings. I was very lucky, now to work on framing some of these.

The thing that would've made it better is if Lucas had insinuated that this was a war that didn't actually directly threaten the core Republic citizens, which would've been an even better way to have Palpatine rise to Emperor.

This brings me onto another thing about the war, Clones vs droids.....So really it was a war between two disposable armies that you can't give a poo poo about becuase they're clones and droids. Wouldn't some of the normal people want to join the war on both sides?, Yet you never see any. just clones clones clones droids droids droids. Come OT you see loads all over the place! so really, PT no1 gives a poo poo (like in the real world ha ha), OT everyone gives a poo poo. and yeah i thought the R2-kt was cute too, they need to input some droid porn into clone wars :-)

PS the clone wars season 3 trailer makes me quite excited http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbtoovO_eCw. Its doing a pretty good job at the moment of not loving the starwars brand, this might have something to do with Lucas not really giving a poo poo about it.

I think rookies (was that the name? the clone trooper episode on the comm outpost?) was my favorite episode. It really showed how adult and dark the show can be.

Haha yeah it started getting very dark, the cad bane story was pretty good i remember him cracking a neck of a clone and thinking "this is a kid show right, for kids" good stuff.

Also I've just finished watching the first ep of season 3, yet again enforcing my thoughts that it is more star warsy than the PT. At the end you just feel good about it like at the end of a new hope, I mean you start feeling for clones for gently caress sake, Whoever does the voice for them does a good job of giving each one their own feel, hats off to him.
