I'll be honest, that does look difficult at first, but after putting the cape on my spartan today it came relatively easy. You either get it or you don't, there really is no in between. The little holes are so the cape can bend where it needs to curve without making too much pressure that might tear the cape like those old Star Wars vinyl capes.

I took the hands off my minifig thinking I had to put it on that way.

Anyone know of the value of a few tupperware tubs of lego. All collected by myself over 10 years, never really played with lots of unassembled kits.

It has 3 complete model team black cat big rigs [5571] 2 unassembled still in bags with manuals. Most of the sets are technic. There's the latest super crane technic set with the motors and a few tractor kits, probably over 20-30,000 pieces.

Easilly over 100+ of the technic large wheels from model team to the old school giant tractor tires.

I'm thinking of throwing the whole works on ebay, I'm looking to buy more 4x4 parts and I can always buy legos again when I have kids and room for it.

Some of the items are still boxed.

Let me put it this way:

http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=4529

If you have the energy to do it, you'll make the most money selling the complete sets individually through Bricklink or Ebay, but I understand that's a lot of work. I honestly don't know what large lots like that go for online anymore, as I don't pay much attention. The other possibility is to approach your local LUG if you live near one, and see if they'll buy the whole lot. My club does that sometimes, and then we divide the sets and parts up between us. You might get more money that way, because you'll be selling it to multiple people who know the worth of the sets, and who aren't looking to resell them.

Head in the middle, fold the little flap over onto the chest, and insert the arms? There is some folding to be done to make the arm-holes overlap, but I am pretty sure that is how you take care of it.

I'm fairly positive you aren't supposed to put the arms through it at all. I had one of the movie-maker sets years back with the same type of cape and you somehow fold it so all the big holes overlap and the collar stands up. As mentioned, the little holes are just so it folds easily.

Walmart at Kennedy & Sheppard had two nearly full boxes Tuesday morning. Everything but the Spartans of course. They were in the LEGO aisle but on the left hand side amongst some other toys.

I spent 30 minutes with a UPC cheat sheet, but got 15 of the 16!

A friend sent me an ad saying that Mastermind is carrying Series 2.

Baruch Obamawitz posted:

Yeah I'll sort through it, I used a friends employee discount at a Lego store in Disney and picked up a bunch of the more recent technic big sets, including the 8 axle 8258 crane NIB, and a few creator sets NIB.

I gave away a ton of creator sets [probably a few thousand bricks worth] for toys for tots last year and kept mostly the technic stuff.

The plan for me was to start building large scale semi trucks and crane trucks, so I was stocking up on anything with large wheels, tractor wheels, super car wheels. Plus a ton of the big technic beams, I got a pile of the long 16 stud beams which apparently the lego Train guys use for bridges.

I don't much in terms of minifigure stuff, I do have a few technic "mini" figures. I'll lay it all out and take pictures of it in a week and a bit.

I don't have the time to work on anything lego related, and I figured I'd give my future kids a kick rear end lego collection but I can do that when the time comes.

So I rather just have some cash in pocket and free up some space.

Once I got everything laid out and all the manuals sorted out, I'll figure out a price point that's sensible. Most of it has never been played with at all, I purchased all of it new and just stored it.

Baruch, I'll get back to you on the price, I'll let you know before I sell it if you are interested whatever the price ends up being.

Initally I'm thinking half the "average" bricklink price on all the big wheels, big technic beams, the boxed sets and the black cat model team trucks and everything else in for "free" as a sweetener. $800 seems to be around that it may be a bit more. I'll get back to you via pm if you have platinum.

Depends on the store, some have it with their other lego, some at the customer service desk. Look around, then ask, but don't call because it's easier to say no to you than yes and have you get pissed when they are wrong.

I admit that during my recent sorting spree I've gone on a bit of a Minifig bender:

Click here for the full 2048x1119 image.

Don't judge me.

The figures in the curver boxes are most of my old ones, sorted by castle, animals, space, pirates, fire and police forces, civilians, workmen and (marine mostly)rescue forces.

My main interest now is in Castle/Kingdom stuff, to populate and expand the diorama on the right. It's a smaller version of my LDD castle/treasure cave MOC.

That "vintage" minifig collection on the right was a blast from the past. I found two of the 1980 doctor torsos, and built a male and female doctor right away. I'm still not sure whether to order yellow heads and some brickarms stuff for the platoon, because I can't think of a military-themed MOC right now.

Out of all the possible replies to my post, I have to say, this is the least expected, haha.

Also, I seem to have blown my wad:

I'm going to take the Hyena Bomber back though, since I already had two (when I thought I only had one). That will bring the total spent to around $120, which comes out to less than 7 cents a piece thanks to the buy 2 get one free sale. I'm still hopeful I might pick up at least a few of the minifigs, but it doesn't look like I'll be lucky anytime soon.
