Mierenneuker posted:My favourite bit was when one of the guests could guess the Stephen King movie with ALL the names and Doug skipped straight ahead to Jack Nicholson. That episode was a match made in heaven. I would love to see them back on Doug Loves Movies. That may be my favorite episode yet, next to the Craig Robinson episode. Did any of you buy the Len Maltin tournament of champions episode? Is it worth a purchase, or is it only for die hard fans?

In case if there's any more discussion about Doug really being pissed off at TJ Miller: Doug's still bitter.

I can't believe how ridiculously goddamn talented James Adomian is. His Paul Giamatti on CDR this week was hysterical. "I'm just a one term bucket of poo poo with an rear end for a face! Goddammit!"

The real beauty of this thread is hearing people hyped up about an episode of a show I haven't heard yet. For most of these shows either you get it or you don't, so when I see people posting "THAT WAS AWESOME" I can be fairly certain that it was awesome.

Speaking of strange guests, did anyone else think Nick Swardson phoned it in for the last DLM? He was either hungover as hell or completely not interested in being on the show. I listened to the WTF where he talks about detoxing in his car immediately beforehand, and he was way more animated on WTF than DLM.

I thought Swardson was pretty funny on DLM. He's a drunk so he's going to be somewhat unreliable. You're right though, he was better on WTF.

NecronSchmecron posted:This may have been mentioned before, but Kevin Pollak is on this week's NNF and apparently he has a show too, Kevin Pollak's Chat Show. So I'm about a month late on replying to this, but yes, KPCS is an amazingly funny and interesting show. I've been onboard for about a year now, and it's easily my favorite podcast or internet series. He has lots of interesting folks on who I've never even heard of, or know very little about, and I usually end up fans of them after an hour and a half or so. Probably my only complaint at this point is, while I do genuinely like Jaime and think she's funny, her increased presence on the show seems to kind of come at the expense of Sam Levine, who I think has great comedy chemistry with Kevin. But I do like her, so that's a pretty minor complaint. Anyway, I have a tough time picking a favorite episode in the show, but James Urbaniak really impressed me. I'm so charmed to see that his natural voice really is Rusty Venture's. Majorian fucked around with this message at 04:52 on Sep 29, 2010 |

I am deep into the KPCS now and it truly is one of the best. I do like Jamie but I don't think she overshadows Sam all that much. As long as she's being funny and or interesting, its doesn't matter much to me. If you want a really interesting episode, there's one with Rob Leggato. There's still funny in there, but it really goes in depth into the guy's career. That blew my mind because before I gave up on my idea on being in the special effects biz, I looked up to Leggato and liked what he'd done for the special effects industry mostly because of interesting simple ways to do some thing. Give it a listen, it's a good time. I can't believe I missed James Urbaniak on that huge episode list. Can't wait to check it out. I wasn't expecting it to be that good of an interview. quote:I can't believe I missed James Urbaniak on that huge episode list. Can't wait to check it out. He was actually on the "Drones" episode briefly too, but the one with the full episode is better. It's hilarious to close your eyes and listen to Dr. Venture's voice being uncharacteristically charming and pleasant! I have difficulty deciding which bit has been my favorite so far: Hank Azaria's "Poker Rabbi," or Kevin and Dave Coulier doing Albert Brooks and Bob Einstein/Super Dave.

Anyone want to list podcast that are pay to get the whole thing? Not ones where you have to pay for the archives. The ones where you get 15 minutes of content from a 2 hour show unless you pay them, I hate getting into a podcast only to find out I've missed most of it.

It was really tough listening to NNF after AK-47 (Andrew Koenig, "Boner") died. I've been listening to stand up since MTV's "Half Hour Comedy Hour". Giraldo was really great. This thread is for funny things, but me and my friend decided to make one of our own even though neither of us are funny or have ever done such a thing before (aside from a "practice" cast). If he ever sends the finished thing over to me would anyone want to give it a listen to tell us how bad we are? Also helpful criticism would be cool too.
