It's not Craigslist, and it's not in my local area... but if anyone knows someone looking for a deal on a large sport tourer, this is a pretty good one. KBB value is around 8 grand, he's asking for $5900. http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1102278&postcount=1 quote:Gotten a couple of nibbles but no bites yet. Well, here's the deal. She has to go!! We just got word that the dealership where I work will be closing its doors at the end of the month!! With the possibility of unemployment, I'm looking to cut as many bills as possible before the end of the month and the ST has to be one of them. So here she is......with some new bits recently added....

From how you describe it, I imagine that I could recreate the ownership experience of a CBX by looping that video of one doing a flyby over and over while reaching into a vat of rusty, sharp motorcycle components with a blindfold on.

That's actually really close. Just think about grabbing a real good pair of tits and smell the acid burn. Yeah, the weird acid burn smell originates from your hands -or what were your hands. I've only lost about 5 metric liters of blood, bodily fluids and skin to my CBX so far, but I've heard and read testaments from people far worse off. To give perspective to the above, I'll like to add that race tuning my GT750 was a laugh compared to just maintaining the CBX. Both makes me really appreciate my RD YPVSs. poo poo aside. I have an evil plan with the CBX. Just handing it down seems alright to me. My youngest son kind of deserves it for all those late night diaper shifts.

Way too high priced. Also it's the mono-shock "Pro Link" version with really lovely rear end handling included. It also has 12Hp less than the original dual shock CBX. Also, there shouldn't be anything black on the engine. No CBX was born with black cylinders and a black center block. Blaster of Justice fucked around with this message at 22:33 on Sep 26, 2010 |

If it's not THAT bad a 2t rebuild isn't the end of the world by any means. 400 bucks if it's got a title is a reasonable deal even if all of the above needs done.

If you're a guy, I'd suggest sitting on it first. Apparently when Ducati said they designed it to be more appealing to women riders, what they actually meant is they designed it crush the balls of any guy who rides it.
