All the reports I've heard say the cage is pretty obstructive, but if you have seats with a decent view of the tron you should be fine.

Perfect. It's going to be upsetting to see that we won't get another instance like this again this year, unless somehow HHH manages to be shoe-horned into the main event scene.

I wonder what perhaps Orton would look like with the beam of light in a similar vein.

Or Sheamus, even.

Funny.

In the 2 minutes I spent reading about Halo 1's plot (refreshment after beating Reach)...I just found out "Vladimir Koslov" is a major character in the Halo-universe (the books I guess?).

Wonder if there was inspiration found there.

How does a slow motion entrance like John Morrison's work on live TV? Do they cut ahead a second or two somewhere after, or does the tape delay just increase by a few seconds for the rest of the show?

They slow the frame rate.

Also, if it still shows him after the camera cut, you'll notice he's halfway to the ring while the last shot still showed him on the stage.

I went to No Way Out in Seattle a couple years back. It wasn't as bad as I thought it might have been, although I also did have a view of the Tron too for when the action was on the other side of the ring. I'd definitely go if you get the chance.

Their rational was pretty intricate but completely understandable, and I asked them if they'd ever explained their side of the story to Jeff. They had not.

The above extract is from Mick Foley's new book, essentially claiming to have helped save the MCMGs career in TNA. Not being a TNA follower, but being (at one time) a big Foley fan and quite a big MCMG fan, does anyone know what the "misunderstanding" was? The only thing that springs to mind is a vague recollection of some story about them not wanting to blade, but I think that was earlier?

I think it's just that they didn't want to blade for some match/angle. Not sure which one. I think it was in the middle of the 3D/X Division feud because they had a MCMG/Lethal vs. 3D/Devine blowoff match where the MCMG got hit with 3Ds about halfway into the match, completely disappeared, and Lethal wrestled the last half of the match by himself and won.

I think that's the correct match. If I remember correctly, they didn't want to blade because there was a "Barbed Wire Massacre" Match (I think it was this... that or some other bullshit bloodfest) between Abyss and Sabu. They were right not to. If there's a match where part of its appeal is to see buckets of blood, it's silly to have guys bleeding in other matches on the same card.

Right stip, wrong opponent. They were slotted almost right after the Abyss/Judas Mesias barbed wire match, which would have made the blood mean nothing.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Foley tell a story in his first book of almost the same situation? He'd bleed in a match if the other matches on the card toned it down, to find out the opener was a first blood battle royal?

Cant remember the details of the story but the match was Cactus and Luna vs Eddie Gilbert and Medusa in the Tri-State Wrestling fed that later became ECW. And aparently The Sandman won the battle royal.

Lately they've been cutting from the slow motion shot to the crowd, then back to Morrison so there's no jarring "warping" on Morrison's part going on.

Some of the generic songs used by WCW were also used in porn. I think that's just it really, the songs weren't exclusive so porn makers got the rights too. They keep using Crash Holly's theme on Top Gear.

I was wondering if WCW had someone make the songs for them and were stupid enough to not copyright them. Or if they got them from some mass marketer of existing generic background music from the 90's. Considering I never worked in the exiting world of elevator music, I didn't want to just assume anything, that's why I asked the question.

WCW had access to the Turner/CNN library of stock music. Some of which was owned by Time Warner, some of which was just free-to-use for anybody. Booker T's music, for example. They also had Jimmy Hart who made their original stuff like Kronik's music, Bret Hart's kickass last theme, and some others. Unless you were a main-event dude, and in Goldberg's case even if you were, you were getting stock library music.

I know I've heard (or used to hear, at least) the original Hardy Boyz theme in commercials on Spike. I'd swear I heard the nWo theme used in something I was watching, but I can't remember what.

I have a feeling if the nWo theme were up for grabs, TNA would be using it like they are the Wolfpac theme. Then again, they remade Booker T's theme and Ric Flair's theme even though they could have used either one.

I found that Booker's remade theme was actually better than the original. It sounded more epic (which was right for that point in his career)
