Here's my 2008.5 Mazda3s. Completely base S model. It's up to 54500 miles from 11 when I it. It's reliable as hell, will easily get 34+ mpg, and the 5 speed is a blast to drive. Click here for the full 1600x899 image. Clearly though, it's just way too practical. So two weekends ago I drove 14 hours round trip to Arkansas from school to pick up something a little less practical! 1995 miata, 5 speed with the popular equipment package (woo torsen!). It's got 142k on the clock and the only problem with it is a tiny leak from the rear main seal and the tires on it were very very bald. So, I bought the rear main seal, and hopefully will find time soon to throw it up on the lift and replace it. Also bought some direzza star specs for its baby 14" wheels. I'll be putting them to use next weekend at the Terre Haute autocross. Click here for the full 1600x899 image. They both sit at the end of a parking lot together. Next to my 3 is my roommate's 95 M3. He bought an M3 in february, and then shortly after buying it hit black ice and threw it into a telephone pole... It hit the driver's door right in and tweaked the body real good. However, the drivetrain and suspension where seemingly unaffected. So, he bought a rolling chassis after that and in april we swapped both subframes, engine, tranny, etc from the crashed one into the roller. With all the work I helped him do on it, it's basically my car too. I have a key for it, so it's all good. Click here for the full 1600x899 image.

Was this 90 VW Corrado with a VR6 swap. Fast as hell when it decided to work right, and looked great. Eventually did a whole slew of modifications to it and it got even faster and more fun to drive, but then got backed into and totaled. Ruined my fun. Then this 89 Honda Civic hatch with the d15. Slow as poo poo, got 42MPG even with me flooring it all the time, sounded like hell but never broke, and cost me a whopping $300. Now this 96 Audi A6 Quattro Boring but it works perfectly and is very comfortable and versatile. God I can't wait to sell this car and get something more interesting. edit OH MY GOD THE TABLES intheflesh fucked around with this message at 05:28 on Oct 3, 2010 |

Picked it up yesterday. Of course had to immediately go play softball at a park with a gravel lot, so much for the fresh wash from the dealer. But then again, it is a 2004.

Where I live the dirt roads are often smoother than the gravel ones. Besides, just go driving around and find a farm fence or something. A pickup should handle it just fine though, even without 4x4, as I didn't use 4x4 when I drove my dad's Silverado across it a few months ago. All that's really necessary is decent ground clearance like what most stock pickups have. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...021136&t=k&z=16 Friar Zucchini fucked around with this message at 03:31 on Oct 8, 2010 |

Seller was asking $3300 a month ago, then $3000 obo recently. $2300 brought her home, pretty fair price for the condition and very desirable option combo. Mileage is a bit higher than I wanted at 176,000, but it runs strong and looks like it was decently taken care of. Not a sign of sludge when peeking in through the oil filler hole. No smoking and it fires up the first try. Windshield has a crack (drat gravel trucks) and the tires are 11 years old, so those will be getting replaced soon. A/C is intact but empty of refrigerant.
