Yeah, it's crazy that basically the only MMOs where you power-up without affecting your look are the two superhero MMOs. This should've been the LU default--the choice should have never even come up during design meetings.

I posted some enormous spaceships a couple weeks ago from brother's brick, but these are far, far more amazing. It's a 23 foot long WWII aircraft carrier with a pair of 8-10 foot long escort destroyers/cruisers. I didn't believe the scale until I actually looked at the video.

This thread has totally rekindled my love of Lego. Since I've started reading the thread I have dug up my Lego collection and bought myself the Darth Vader's Tie Fighter set(pretty cool set). I've also been playing with the Lego Digital Designer, and I could see this eating into my money like crazy, especially when I can make cool stuff like this little bit of pixel art of the old NES game River City Ransom: Click here for the full 1920x957 image.

I have got a giant tub here of (like a quarter of) my old lego stuff, but since it was like the only thing I did from the ages of like 5 to 13 I have a smattering of pieces from a billion different sets, and not real cohesive theme, even though at one point I had both the collector's star destroyer and TIE interceptor Anyway what I'm asking here is, is it possible for me to even put together anything cohesive with a decent color scheme or am I doomed to mismatched things with 30 wheels? I guess that's a dumb question without seeing exactly what I'm working with, but I feel like this is like RTS anxiety. How can I overcome the mental block of "gently caress it I can't make anything that looks decent out of this"? e: That carrier has got to be heavy as hell. Any idea how much it weighs exactly? Besides, sometimes its nice to just build your idea regardless of what colors you have available, like I did: That way by the time you have a better selection of colors, you're more confident with different techniques/ideas. Yeah I thought about doing it with bricks, but to make a square you gotta go with a 2x1 brick and two 2x1 plates, which ends up being huge and the cost gets astronomical. Doing it on the flat surface is definitely the way to go, keeps the piece count down and keeps things square. I really like your stuff, especially the Mega Man stuff. I think I might do some Castlevania ones next myself.

To me "give" is a masculine verb. The act of giving toys seems like it should be happier, thus gift, gifting, gifted, etc.

I really, really believe you added an extra '0' there. I've been hoping to get some money to start buying Lego again (it's been around 20 years) but I find I get intimidated by the $0.10 per brick average. I see the 20 dollar sets I think would be fun...but then my eyes wander up to that Slave I and I realize I can't afford that yet. I'm flying back to see my parents for Christmas, and assuming my mom hasn't sold them all in a garage sale all my old Lego sets should be in a Rubbermaid in their basement. I may just have to arrange to have them shipped home with me.
