Every time I go on there when my boyfriend's around he always says something like "Oh my god, how can you use that?" I've gotten used to it but it really is unbelievably bad, like, 1999 Backstreet Boys Geocities Fansite bad. Mostly it's nice for large, unwatermarked screencaps, but good lord.

My 1999 Backstreet Boys Geocities site was way cleaner. Plus, when you loaded it it played a midi version of "Larger than Life"

When there's something like 10-15 movies available in 3D and some of them are locked to specific brands, I don't know why ANYONE would want to jump in right now. I mean, people were hesitant about getting into HD when it was between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, and that had far more content and a cheaper initial purchase.

Highly doubt it. It's priced the same as their other digibook releases, so it's not llike you're paying extra for all the useless crap anyway.

Well I finally got to experience the Back to the Future packaging. I ended up just snapping off the spring tabs so the disc just pops in and out without having to press down. I felt like an idiot trying to figure out how to put the disc back in. Edit: Huh, according to the PDF Universal sent me you're suppose to push down on the tabs with your thumb and pinkie and the disc slides out. Carlotta (France) is releasing three Frank Borzage silents... http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film3/blu-ray_reviews52/7th_heaven_blu-ray.htm Seventh Heaven looks fantastic. Like Murnau's Sunrise, it exists only in sub-par prints, but it's a flawless transfer of difficult film materials. All that beautiful film grain without being smudged to oblivion by DVNR. To anyone who has used DVD2Blu, do they send you the discs with the cases? Also, how long does it take for your order to arrive? I have plenty of DVDs that I would trade in, but don't want to get discs in return without cases or artwork.

Turnaround typically ranges from a couple weeks to a month.

drat, I already own almost all of the ones I want from that selection. I'd get The Departed or Elf, but each is $6.95, and if you include the shipping I'm pretty sure I could get them cheaper on eBay.

$8 coupon for the Toy Story 3 combo pack (should be active tomorrow): http://www.toystorycoupon.com/ Most stores will have the regular edition for $20 and the combo pack for $25. Depending on the attentiveness of your cashier they might accept the coupon for the regular edition instead of the combo pack (it's worked for all of the previous coupons), netting you the BD for $12 + tax.

The only movies I'd be interested in would be Eyes Wide Shut or Pan's Labyrinth. So, you have to figure in: - $4.95 to $6.95 for the Blu-Ray - $4.95 for Shipping - The cost of a mailer for the DVD - The cost to mail out that DVD And you only get free shipping from the website if you order at LEAST six of the $6.95 Blu-Rays. I just trade in my old DVDs at MovieStop for new BD releases, and I don't have to wait a month for the new flick.
