This is Louie. He's 10 years old. Louie is special. (Please excuse lovely camera phone pics. Click here for the full 720x576 image. Click here for the full 720x576 image. Click here for the full 720x576 image. I have around 80 pics of this stupid cat on Facebook. Here's my other cat, Sheena. She's ... I'm honestly not sure how old. Probably 17 or 18 years old. She has three legs. When she was about 1-2 years old, she got up into the engine of my dad's truck for warmth. When we started it up the next morning, it tore her leg to shreds. She had a neat-o pink cast for a few weeks before they decided that it would be better for her to just have the leg amputated. Unfortunately she doesn't like to have her picture taken so here's really the only decent pic I have of her. Click here for the full 720x576 image. This cat has used up each of her 9 lives and then some. Every so often, she'll stop grooming herself and we all think to ourselves, "Well she's finally had it." But give it a week or so and she's back to normal. She's the softest cat I've ever felt. She also gets real itchy under her right ear, where she can't scratch, so we have to do it for her. When we scratch her, her little nub shakes and it's adorable.

This is Ozma. She is a 6 year-old terrier mutt. Some of you may remember the thread about her when I first got her and she was extremely panicky and timid. She is finally coming out of her shell and allowing us to take a few pictures! When we first got her home from the shelter, she was just sad and terrified all day long. It broke my heart. Click here for the full 540x720 image. She would run from an camera or phone that was pointed at her, so we took pictures while she slept... which was a lot. Click here for the full 540x720 image. After a few months she started to open up... Click here for the full 719x539 image. ...from a distance. Click here for the full 719x539 image. Obedience class really helped her to trust us... that and hot dog pieces. Click here for the full 720x540 image. She still doesn't like cameras, but camera phones she tolerates. She is wearing her Thunder Shirt, which has been a godsend for the stress of storms and the occasional 6-year-old niece. Click here for the full 498x664 image. This is the stray that seems to have adopted us. She has been around for a few weeks at our place, and comes running when we walk out or she hears us talking. Yesterday it started storming and I found her wet, pressed against our door, and shivering! We have two cats already, but she's been around so much and keeps trying to sneak inside, I couldn't just leave her out there! I asked my husband if I could bring her in, and while I had to give up fast food for a couple of months, it was worth it to get her shots and checked out! She's healthy and she'll be spayed next week. Her temporary name is Poofy-Tail Thief because she obviously has a very poofy tail and she steals things, lol. We are changing it though to something prettier eventually. She is crazy for attention! She'll lay on you and just suck on your fingers and make big paws as long as you let her. The vet thinks she is about a year old, but under all of that fur she is the tiniest thing...we thought she was around six months old.

We have Mishka, Kisa....and now this one. My husband and I are torn between Yeva and Ulen'ka. In the below picture, Kisa is the black one and Mishka is the white one.

I love this thread. Photos of people's animals make me Here's a new one of Cohen. It also makes me She looks pretty clean and crisp here. I'm pretty much a lurker but thought I'd pop my head out to post my two monsters. First off I have a white cat named Urd, who was a foster cat that my husband decided to adopt (sister has been working at a michigan humane society for the better part of a decade now and we fostered tons of animals) She's deaf and a bit of a doofus, but incredibly loving (even people that hate cats seem to like her) and the most tolerant cat I've ever had. And then we have Okami, our shiba inu. My husband originally wasn't too fond of dogs due to being bit as a kid but nowadays he loves the beast as much as I do. Okami is a little... DERP, but we love him anyhow. Despite the fact that Urd grew up in a house with five dogs she constantly dive bombed and attacked Okami as a puppy and nowadays when he tries to play with her she generally beats the piss out of him. Sometimes they get along though. Sometimes.

This is my goddamn dog, Siegfried (oftentimes answering to "Dog!") He is a now-thirteen month old Newfoundland puppy, appearing in this photo at about nine months. He has the IQ of a bowl of leek soup and it is monsoon season all year long in and around his cavernous mouth. He is a stupidly picky eater and regularly turns his nose up at lamb shanks, veal osso bucco and steak. He has never eaten his dry food (Eukanuba, Royal Canin, Science Diet and Nutro) all tried, but loves Purina Beneful (yes, ) which my mother, in her infinite wisdom, bought for him as a 'treat', presumably for the same reason that kids would rather have McDonalds than meat and three veg. He's an idiot and I love him. Smudgie Buggler fucked around with this message at 07:41 on Nov 7, 2010 |

Sometimes I don't believe my husband when he says Fry has grown. But maybe he's right. Day One: Two weeks ago: (same window) Someday we hope he will grow out of "rear end in a top hat" into "nice" - I get brief glimpses of how nice he can be when he naps in my lap every night. He also manages to look intelligent and calm in his photos: Most of the time, though, the idiots are pretty... idiotic: herp derp Edit: my husband fears that soon Fry will think his name is "DAMNIT, FRY!" or "loving CAT!"

My wife and I were sick of being petless, so we did a lot of research and found the Havanese breed would be best for us, so, enter FRED! He's mostly black with a white belly, and the most adorable little hair ball. He loves people so much, he's ready to hop in circles and lick someone to death whenever he meets a new person. It's amazing, I've never seen such a stranger affectionate dog. Fred's first bath He's basically an alive stuffed animal A couple weeks in, we noticed Fred's separation anxiety being off the charts whenever we left the house, so we decided we had enough love to get him a best friend, enter Dusty Miller the cat! They're right around the same age,and have bonded so quickly I'm shocked. They sleep together, play perfect, and groom each other. Aside from having to elevate the litter box to keep Fred out, this is a perfect match.

Meet Corwin the corgi! We just got him last Sunday and I lubs him so much! He's a VERY GOOD BOY and has already learned to sit, come, and sort of lay down. And what's amazing is that Rupert Dupert the cat is FRIENDS with him, and they've loved each other right from the start. I couldn't have imagined that! It's like a goddamn animal utopia around here. Right now, he is sleeping. Sleeping is his favorite thing. Corwin wants you to know he is SOOOOO tired. Have some photos! In the car on the way home from Whidbey Island. New puppy photodump! So, rather than a crate, when we can't keep a constant eye on Fiyero (liver and white Brittany), he goes into the puppy pen in the kitchen. This leads to some extensive making out between the bars. When Fiyero isn't in the crate or in the puppy pen, this is what happens all day every day. And when Pazuzu is busy, the toys come out. Pazuzu's bizarre little quirk is that he likes to 'style the hair' of dudes with beards-he climbs onto their shoulders and licks the back of their head. I have NO idea where he got the idea.

Meet Ginny (we're... uh... creative with names) She's a two year old Australian Cattle Dog that we brought home from the shelter this past Tuesday. So far, she's managed to wow us with her cleverness, stubbornness, and myriad interesting quirks. She's also very cute: She's absolutely wild about toys, and although she's rather overweight and her stamina isn't where it should be, she goes berserk for play sessions in the yard: I look forward to getting to know her better, and starting clicker training with her soon (as well as signing up for obedience classes at PetSmart) to try and harness some of her intelligence and tone down her more destructive tendencies. She's been incredibly affectionate and friendly from the moment we brought her home, and seems entirely comprised of tail wags and kisses.
