Z3n, I definitely didn't mean that he should hang of like there was no tomorrow, but he should definitely be more on the inside of the bike. I'm also more inclined to say that your friend you showed in that picture doesn't have the greatest of form because (as you said) he is hanging off way too much from the bike. Anyway, less discussion more pictures.

So I finally got my homegrown up, here's a couple videos of a nice route in Kentucky. The video info on youtube says a lot of it. I love this particular stretch of KY10 because it follows the hilltops and leaves some great views for both spectating and turning. I tend to use both lanes when its visible here, but so do cars, it's the country. Anyway, it's a beautiful ride, and with google maps I think it makes a neat combination. I'd like to see other people's videos of their rides with the routes mapped out as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pW3tfscEbC0 video 1 skip to around 3:30 for the start of the fun. This, on the map, is that first hard left hander after the long straight following the hard right after the long initial straight...you'll get it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYNH0jGdYVA video 2 and the google map of where it is: http://goo.gl/maps/mj80 The dot to change the route should be around the where the videos are split. Edit: I forgot to say too, I'm looking for all of the constructive criticism I can get. I've been riding for around 4 years I guess and I'd like to start getting into track days for fun, so any pointers on mistakes I'm making would be appreciated. I also realize there's not much room to criticize(track wise) other than lines because the road is so open I hardly brake. It's all rolling off the throttle and my apprehension for entering some turns because I'm not prepared to totally lean it...too soon nsaP fucked around with this message at 08:07 on Nov 6, 2010 |

I'm not about to watch the whole video to find out for sure, but is there even any camping gear in there? I didn't see any in the shot showing it all unpacked. It seems less ridiculous now. Though, he does have as much volume of gear as I did on my trip and I was carrying gear for two (minus the pillion rider's clothing). Apparently he really hates bugs and rain. Respect to his admin and packing skills but he's carrying a lot of expensive, bulky or duplicated gear. Also: I'd bloody well hope Touratech would throw in some hats and shirts for the amount they charge for most of their kit.

Ack, I dug around but my youtube and google is weak tonight. There's a lot out there. 1. After winning one race he stopped in some corner, parked the bike, hopped the wall an ran to a portapotty, that one is probably my favorite. 2. His Rival Max Biaggi was rumored to have been dating Claudia Scheffer, so post race win Rossi does his victory lap with a blow up doll that has Claudia written on her tshirt. 3. Another Rival Sete Gibernau made a big deal or something about Rossi clearing a bit of tarmac in front of his bikes starting position, which got Rossi penalized. After one of his wins against Sete he pulls to the starting line and has a guy give him a broom and he sweeps the track in front of his bike. Just various things like that which have been awesome. Someone will come along hopefully and post some vids I just suck at finding them tonight or something. Content...
