I've become a big fan of the Joe Rogan podcast recently. Redban is horribly unfunny and comes across like a 12-year old boy sitting with the cooler older kids, but other than that I love the show. Are there rundowns of the podcasts anywhere?

I think my dream lineup of CDR would be Paul F. Tompkins doing John C. Reilly and John C. Reilly doing Dr. Steve Brule, and maybe Harris Wittels or someone like that as a straight 3rd. Are people allowed to play characters they've played on shows? I think I read that El Chupacabra is from Reno 911 but I've never seen it.

Yeah, El Chupacabra showed up on Reno 911 multiple times. That's one of my favorite characters on CDR. Nick Kroll is awesome. I'm still catching up on older episodes of CDR, but I love every appearance by Andy Daly. It's kind of a running joke that every one of his characters mentions suicide eventually. I hope that's not a cry for help.

I don't know if anyone else caught The Benson Interruption premiere last Friday night, but man was it not very good. It was funny in some parts, but the cutting and editing was just terrible. It just made me appreciate DLM as a much better format for Doug Benson and friends.

I agree. Why have 3 guests on for a 30 minute show where you also have to take time to explain the premise? Nick Kroll got through like one joke before commercial. It would work much better with fewer comedians, or in a 1 hour format. I'd love to see it live.

I liked the Benson interruption, but only because I like to see funny people on tv. There was some really funny stuff too. Doing 3 comedians in a 22 minute show though is just awful.

I could see an hour for two guests for sure. With the way it was currently cut you'd have the audience laughing to what was just said then immediately cut-off to rolling into the next bit. It made all kinds of awkward silence points that seemed like the comedians weren't that funny. It came off really bad with Chris Hardwick when Doug commented on a bit he just said, the audience starts to laugh and then immediately cut silence leading to them trading tweets. Oh well I was just hoping for a little more DLM spillover since that recent episode was so great.

Hey, King Lou, I think something's wrong with the last episode of "Lou Reads..." I was listening to it, and around the 17-18 minute mark, it just cuts off in the middle of a post you were reading and restarts the episode, for the remaining 17-18 minutes of the podcast.

UYD is my favorite too. I got into it a few months ago, and at first was just listening to the new episodes each week but now I've begun digging into the archives. Episode 70 is my favorite so far. To quote from the wiki "Jah once smoked coco puffs while on a school trip in Benjamin Hill, Mexico, which led to him throwing down a full coked-out sexual assault on a female classmate while watching Mexican porn." I've turned a few friends onto the show as well. These are seriously some of the funniest motherfuckers I have ever heard. Aside from that, I've been listening to Car Talk every week for about four years now.
