Quantum of Solace turned him back into a penis with a gun... which would be OK, but [for whatever reason] I found the movie unwatchably boring. Yeah I can see that. I actually saw Quantum of Solace first so that might make a difference to my perception somehow. When I saw Quantum of Solace I liked how Bond was less suave and more out of step, like a guy who murders people for a living might actually behave more so than the older Bonds. So it introduced me to this new Bond, I've never written "Bond" so much. Bond. Casino Royale just seemed kind of boring in comparison. Also I think I had problems with how things unfolded towards the end. I've only seen it once so maybe I should see it again.

Brought this up on Facebook (bored at work). A friend hit me with "I put my blurays in a 400-CD zipper case and throw away the boxes. I don't have the space for shelves and don't care either." I think I heard the sound of the Bluray forums posters' heads exploding. It was sweet music.

Anybody familiar with the Versus Blu-Ray and whether or not it's the same version of the film from the "Ultimate Edition" where they film like 10 more minutes and retooled about 75% of the entire film? I don't really care for the extras as I've seen them a billion times, but I prefer the newer cut above the other ones.

Wow, the Fox version of The Leopard absolutely obliterates the Criterion release. (which of course got full marks for video quality from many 'reviewers' because it's an old film AND a Criterion) http://blubrew.com/2010/12/04/the-leopard-blu-ray-comparison/ Thank Mr. Scorsese for this one. frumpsnake fucked around with this message at 20:57 on Dec 4, 2010 |
