The zucchini too, it's better to buy fresh vegetables than frozen breaded ones. Though regular frozen vegetables are just as good. But who eats zucchini anyway?

Sooo... I'm kind of clueless when it comes to streaming stuff from the internet two rooms over on my big screen TV. Well, aside from my PS3 media player so I can play video files and movies like that.

With that in mind, will it be possible to stream this upcoming Rifftrax event using my PS3 or through some other means?

I can stream fairly well with Playstation Media Server. It's got all the codec packs to convert on the fly and stream to your PS3. I'd recommend using a physical connection, though. My wireless has been less than admirable when streaming.

So I've been trying to watch the Transformers 2 rifftrax today. Emphasis on trying. This piece of poo poo movie makes The Room look like a modern classic, I'm barely at the 60 minutes mark and I had to pause the movie and do something else (like make this post) several times to take a break from all the suck. The rifftrax itself is great and they call MB out on all his crap, but it's barely enough to make it tolerable.

I had to watch that one in multiple sittings. It's weird, it seems to me that riffing works best on poo poo old movies, new ones still have the comedic element but for some reason the actual movie distracts me more which in return makes me want to shut it off.

I couldn't even watch 1/3rd of The Room if I remember right.

Having only just subjected myself to the concentrated insanity of The Room recently, you need to see this Riff all the way through. It may be the best one they've ever done.

I don't know if you're talking about The Room + Rifftrax but the Room is 1000% better sans Riff, plus alcohol and friends.

How would I go about streaming the video from the RT web site using my PS3? I'm using PS3 Media Server version 1.10.51 and while I can play music and videos from my computer's hard drive without any problem, I didn't see any sort of internet option.

Worse than New Moon, a movie in which the height of the action is a chick who can't act pulling a sparkling vampire out of sunlight to avoid exposing himself? :psyduck:

Christ. I have the riff and I'm planning on experiencing this tomorrow. I honestly can't wait, which is sad to say because it's a Twilight movie and all, but the last two were made so hilarious by the riffs that I'm sure I'll enjoy laughing uncontrollably at this one too.

Eclipse was the best of the Twilight movies. However, I can pick out the nicest looking piece of poo poo, but it's still a piece of poo poo.

Eclipse was actually almost somewhat watchable and had an actual plot arc. It was much better than the other two movies in that it was almost mediocre as opposed to utterly horrible.

I've been using Thrifty's guide to reauthoring the riffs onto a DVD, which has been working out pretty good so far - except I find that sometimes the movie drowns out the riffs or the riffs might drown out the quieter parts of the movie. Anyone know how to get around this? In the guide, he makes an offhand reference to using autoduck in Audacity, but never gets into details on how to use it, so any advise would be appreciated.

This. I watched it a little while ago and the riff made it entertaining, but I'd never watch it by itself. New Moon was worse, but make no mistake: Eclipse is a terrible movie.

Audacity 1.3.9 (that's my version right now) or better
1. Make sure the riff is on the bottom, movie audio on top
2. Select the region of the movie audio to duck
3. Select Effect -> Auto Duck
I set Duck amount to -20, Threshold to -40, everything else default or smaller

Silentgoldfish

I find the first Twilight movie the most entertaining of the three just because it's so ineptly made. The third one is just tediously competent which I think is one of the reasons it dragged even with riffs.

A coworker who saw it said that the fight scenes were actually somewhat decent, with maybe one approaching "good."

But that was the only compliment they could give it.

I thought the fight scene was terrible. They spend the majority of the movie building up this "newborn army" as some massive threat and they end up getting defeated with little effort.

Hey now, one of them slightly injured one wolf, I'd say the buildup was perfectly appropriate.

I figured the point of the movie was: they're getting married!! also some other stuff happens I guess
