Just wanted to give a heads up that I just posted the latest Lou Reads the Internet for YOU!. Episode 60 is most certainly AUDIO so headphones on and try to keep the groans low. They can be of disgust or pleasure. That's your issue... Thanks for listening people!

Did you download it all the way or are you playing it live on the site? That appears to be some kind of itunes thing when the episode doesn't download right. Other people are playing it right now without issue. I just downloaded it myself via iTunes and will listen to make sure it plays. if its not playing all the way I'd say its not fully downloaded. The file is about 18mb if its buffering in live it might stall and start over. If it is in iTunes then I would delete the file and re-download. I wonder if its just a heavy load thing. Like too many simultaneous DLs or something... Thanks for letting me know, though. EDIT: 8 mins in and no restart on iTunes. King Lou fucked around with this message at 17:36 on Dec 8, 2010 |

I was trying to watch last night's episode of the Joe Rogan podcast live, but it didn't buffer too well. From what I could make out though, some old dude was talking about prostitution and weed in a hotel room in Toronto, Canada. Home city represent. (Although he was dropping the word Bloor Street like it meant something. Bloor street is just a major street in Toronto, it doesn't really mean anything.)

Chiming in to say that I absolutely loved the first CyberThug podcast, really excited to get out of the office and listen to the second one. The teaser has 4loko and Jerry O'Connell in it, instant win already. Any other podcasts similar to this aside from CDR, Nerdist (learn to loving interview properly and not say "SOOO COOL!!!" "AWESOME!!!!!" each time your guest finish speaking), and DLM

RightClickSaveAs posted:Those three shows are different in a lot of ways, but Comedy Film Nerds could definitely fit into that universe. I haven't seen it mentioned in a while but it's become one of my favorite shows lately, I love movie talk and the two hosts (comedians Graham Elwood and Chris Mancini) know their movies and are hilarious. If you haven't listened to it in a while the audio quality has improved immensely since the first few episodes, and they've really hit their stride in general. The rapport between the two is great, Graham Elwood is often punchy as hell and Chris usually ends up trying to to transition the show back on track when he spins off too far from the subject. Graham's been on a bad accent kick lately that I can't get enough of. This sounds perfect. The only movie part about DLM is when he asks "so uh, have you seen any movies...on a plane?! I love plane movies!" and I guess the Maltin game but I usually tune out there unless the guests already know how to play. Whatever though I love Benson so I let just let it slide, man. Elwood is great so I'll check this out for sure, especially if they actually talk about movies.

The food references were hilarious. Also - Joey Diaz KILLS on the latest Rogan podcast. Lots of talk about drugs and getting sex at age 12, and dancing in his underwear for his mom's friends. Redban asses out, but it's still funny. I could give a poo poo about Joe's conspiracy theories or MMA, but god drat, does Joey Diaz carry the episode. So - Mike Schmidt is loving annoying. I do not find him endearing AT ALL. He is simultaneously trying to be the "my life is a wreck" guy and the "I'm so loving cool listen to all my cool stories" guy. He is just not doing it for me. (He's talking with Marc Maron on WTF)

Just so you know, he's not really TRYING to be a "my life is a wreck" guy. He kind of is. I never knew why he had a falling out with Jimmy Pardo before hearing that. Saying that, I don't listen to the 40 year old boy and don't have much of an interest especially since he said he's the only one talking. He's interesting, I just don't know how interesting he is on his own.

Kevin Smith guys, amirite? :iamafag: I know some people may hate him, and in fairness, there's some things he's done that I'm not a fan of, but for the most part I really like a ton of his material. I've seen the Batman comics Walt has drawn and they are drawn well. I haven't read them, so I can't really comment on that aspect of them. He has one of (if not the) first podcast network and a couple are pretty good. I say Tell em' Steve Dave and Jay and Silent Bob Get old deserve to be up there for an award. Though I do think NNF should be getting more love.

Less than eight months after the director got removed from a Southwest flight, he's had trouble with Virgin America. Smith took to his blog to complain about how he and his wife, Jennifer Schwalbach, missed their flight at JFK on Monday, despite arriving at the gate with first-class tickets and minutes to spare: Kevin Smith and Adam Carolla are starting to get on my nerves for the same reason: they're either rehashing the same dozen stories about their lives from ages 10-25, or they're complaining about poor customer service at airports. They're both interesting people, but drat, it gets old after a while. Go out there, do some living, have some experiences, and come back when you've got a story to tell. Don't just fill up time by repeating yourself over and over again.

I always enjoy the awkwardness that ensues when Adam Carolla goes off about Mexicans or whatever, especially when he's on someone else's show. Since he's usually in the presence of other comedians (who are generally pretty liberal) the sense of "hmm, this guy's not trying to be edgy or ironically racist, he's just actually racist" is palpable.
