I was worried when I saw Eddie Pepitone on CDR radio today, but his character today was pretty hilarious. Overall, a great episode.

Adam Carolla's podcast was the first I deleted. When I heard it turned morning zoo-ish I'm glad I deleted it. How is Bald Brian, though? I was kind of when he slurred.

He's made a great recovery. I don't mind the sound effects, it's the twenty minute rants filled with inaccuracies and half truths that drive me batty.

Meh, would it really be better? Carolla's been on daily radio auto-pilot for years and years. He's got a system that works, albeit more for live radio rather than podcasting. And besides, how much was he spending on his shows in the beginning? Like $30,000 a month? With that much invested, us having any opinion on his show meand gently caress-all to him and rightly so. I appreciate his dedication, if anything, despite me having stopped listening to his show. You have to admit though, his interview with Frank Stallone was stellar. All I knew about Frank before Adam's show was him being the punchline to Norm MacDonald's opaque weekend update jokes. Kodo fucked around with this message at 16:41 on Dec 13, 2010 |

Sarah Silverman mentioned a comedian friend of hers that writes "the best jokes and the worst jokes in the world and he can't tell the difference.", that's got to be Harris Wittels, right? I do think that's part of the charm of an HW though.

He's also been very liberal in the past on gay rights and birth control. He was pretty well on the left during Loveline, and then he became a (literal) millionaire and immediately transitioned to being an economic conservative.

He said on one podcast a long time ago that he was talking to some conservative politician or pundit or something, and that he made some points that made sense. The specific point was something along the lines of "Should you vote on how you want things to be or how they are?", and I guess that argument won him over in terms of pot legalization. He then went on to talk about how he doesn't want a bunch of pot heads running around and that it makes sense to vote against legalizing it. I wish I could remember the podcast he said that on. He's also said things like "I don't use the roads more than anyone else, why should I pay more?" Anyway I don't want to get too much into his politics because he clearly has no idea what he's talking about. I mostly stopped listening because he hasn't had on any guests I like and the type of show he's doing has gone from being a comedy show to a rant about things I don't like show. Which I guess was a fine line he was walking before but at least he would have people come on that were funny and he would re-enact events and make up movies and poo poo like that.

He sounds like a libertarian more than anything else. Regardless, he should keep politics off his show, because he's just not good at it, and comes off like an idiot discussing it. I still like his show, I just tend to ignore most episodes, since he suffers from broken record syndrome. But he is a legitimately funny guy, and his show is one of the better produced ones available.

I unsubscribed from him awhile back but I still check to see who his recent guests are about once a week. Since Teresa left he doesn't seem to have Bryan on as much anymore. There have been a lot more 1 on 1 conversations much like when the podcast first launched which are a lot more tolerable. As for politics he has mentioned Libertarian a couple of times. Even Dr. Drew mentioned how he has been swinging more Libertarian in the most recent interview (in between Adam ranting).

And I can see the humor in watching somebody get worked up over something stupid like that, but only when I am the audience to somebody else getting worked up, not when that person is ME. If they want to have a successful podcast, then they shouldn't intentionally keep doing that ONE thing that is stopping listeners from listening to their podcast. Because, were it not for that, I would listen. Every week. I would donate money, I would recommend them to friends, I would proudly wear a PEC t-shirt. But they insist on keeping that one completely retarded aspect of the show, that provides no humor or entertainment value to anybody but themselves and a few other choice people who get some kind of weird pleasure out of imagining other listeners getting grossed out. If they want to make a podcast that appeals only to the three of them, then they are succeeding valiantly, but I can't imagine them ever building up a sizable, serious fanbase that would ever see them as more than, at most, a novelty act.

If too many people are grabbing it at once they throttle the traffic so it doesn't affect the other sites on the box. If you get a partial download you need to re-download. I know its a drag but until I get my own hosting or something its what I'm dealing with. Thanks for your continued support! Also one person has taken me up on the audio recording offer. No actually thats not what he said.He said he was totally against Californians banning gay marriage because realistically its not something that continue as the world becomes more accepting and it only wasted public funds, wastes time, and makes the people against gay marriage look like idiots. He used the example of the civil rights movement. He also used the same argument about pot. One thing that bothered me for a while was how Adam was totally for pot on Loveline, and then on one episode of the podcast he metioned speaking to the editor of the LA Times (or something) who said weed should be illegal because we have to decide what kind of society we want to live and draw boundaries based on that. Then every single time its come after that episode he's gone back to his previous opinion.
