Reynardine is probably going to have to go into the forest and save her, though. Likely facing the temptation of getting his old body back, choosing between the horde of manipulative assholes and Coyote.

So there's not really a temptation thing. Although she may give him a choice.

Could someone who has the printed book tell me where in the comic it ends?

I think the first one is Chapters 1-14, and the second one is Chapters 15-22.

I just finished my second read of the comic, and was once again really sad when I couldn't press the next button anymore. I think it was at least as good on a second read, by the way. He set the stage for so many of the story arcs so far in advance.

For some reason I get the feeling that Ysengrin is acting like more of an rear end in a top hat in this one than he actually is.

I think there is some subtle communication there you guys missed. They both know just how weak Ys is under that wooden body.

Have we had any clues as to how Ysengrim's body got so messed up? Something tells me that it's going to be something tragic, like he saved Renard's life, and neither Renard or Coyote give a poo poo.

I love how you all pretty much mirrored Annie in the last three panels of the comic. 1. Hey, where the hell did that come from, jerk? 2. Oh, wait, he's weak underneath that wood body too. He has no tolerance for himself. 3.

inthesto posted:That doesn't explain why Ys is missing an ear. Then it's the wrong impression. Everything wrong with Ysengrin from the neck down is from atrophy. The missing ear was probably just happenstance. I doubt he was much less of a moody bastard before Coyote fixed him up.

I'm gonna guess Ysengrin's self-loathing wouldn't be so potently fueled if he got his tree body from a noble act like saving anyone's life. He probably just asked for a better body because he felt the wolf body wasn't strong enough, and Coyote being Coyote gave him the double-edged sword tree suit thing. (I forget if this much has been said earlier/in the comic, I haven't been through the archives in ages)

Eglamore is a nice guy, he just wants to protect his friends. Also Kat probably still has a crush on him. Why are you so mean to Eglamore? Also Ysengrin is an unhinged dude who literally tried his very hardest to murder Annie (for disrespecting Coyote) previously, and is only not doing so now on orders from Coyote. He is not the good guy.
