Yeah, I think until '82, viragos(then called XV750 and XV920) had the mono shock swingarm, then, from what I've gathered from bikeexif, import tariffs plus diluting of the model with a bunch of engine types ended up making the virago the ugly cheap cruiser it is today. Subframe looks handmade, judging by the welds and seat. Here's the shop that helped build the bike's website. A lot of cool poo poo there in a wrenchmonkees style. http://johnryland.posterous.com/ VVV want that in helmet sticker form :bigtran: Slim Pickens fucked around with this message at 04:30 on Dec 16, 2010 |

Flaming you say? Sure. He's just a regular dick really. Sure he's great at riding motorcycles, but he's speeding and crossing a double yellow on a motorcycle in a place where motorcycles are known for speeding and crossing double yellows. Predticably, squiddy, pose-y and dumb. Nice riding though.

I think the idea is he's posted a vide of *somebody* and *somebody's butt* doing *something* but who it is, and where they were, and what speeds or whatever are ambiguous. Edit-for different sections, anyway, in one if you can identify the rider better, then there's a lovely view of what he's doing, when you can see him crossing the yellows, there's no view of the bike--the shot of the speedo is up in some corner where someone could argue it's not from the same video. All you can really charge is that the constant shifting of those leather clad buttocks is mesmerizing.

Revenant.Eagle posted:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcOZVxheOXw Good road knowledge, lotta balls, but if he's got the skills he's not in a place to show them off. Whenever I see a video like that I can't help but think of Scott LaVelle, who was an Ex-AMA rider who rode up highway 9 in the Bay Area. His ex AMA GSX-R750 with all the toys (Marchesini, Ohlins, etc.) had the plate "OWNS 9". His card was called up and he nearly died when he came around a corner to find a van encroaching on his lane. At 90+mph, midcorner, you have to modify your line at all and it's over...he hit a wooden support beam so hard there was dye transfer from his leathers, as well as cracking it in half, and then fell ~40 feet down the hillside and landed in a tree. When they found him he was bleeding from his eyes, ears, and mouth, as well as a host of broken bones and internal injuries. He gave up street riding after that, as that was his 3 crash on the street in 10 years. 6 months of recovery, including a few weeks in a Coma, IIRC. Some permanent brain damage, but he's still kicking around somehow. That's the fate of all fast street riders. One day it catches up to you.
