I loved an anime character, and I can't remember a time before when I had felt so alive. But now for some reason I don't feel that love anymore. I also loved a few more anime characters like they were family. It makes me a bit sad...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Gravy It says gravy is a beverage. Gravy is not a beverage, it is a sauce. I have never heard of anyone drinking gravy, it is not meant to be drunk. I am correcting this —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.172.89.50 (talk) 05:00, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

wikipedia is dangerous. someone created a false bio of a journalist who was friends with RFK and JFK and claimed he was a suspect in their respective assassinations and of coursequote:In September, Victor S. Johnson, Jr., a friend of Seigenthaler's, discovered the entry. After Johnson alerted him to the article, Seigenthaler e-mailed friends and colleagues about it. On September 23, 2005, colleague Eric Newton copied and pasted Seigenthaler's official biography into Wikipedia from the Freedom Forum web site. The following day, this bio was removed by a Wikipedia editor on the grounds of copyright policy violation, and it was replaced with a short original biography.

got dat wmd posted:wikipedia is dangerous. someone created a false bio of a journalist who was friends with RFK and JFK and claimed he was a suspect in their respective assassinations and of course this was the dumbest "scandal" ever, especially as the media heralded it as some sort of proof of Wikipedia's imminent decline.

I remember seeing a sweet graph of the "evolution" article (in Time or Newsweek) that showed the relative contributions of different users over time. I don't know of a tool to do that, though

So there's been an ongoing unresolved debate about whether to have Ubuntu (philosophy) or Ubuntu (operating system) be the "primary" article you go to when you search for Ubuntu -- the other would be found on a disambiguation page. According to the stats tracker, the operating system article gets about 3k hits per day and the philosophy article gets about 500. My favorite feature of the debate so far is the assertion that "Ubuntu" the philosophy is clearly the more "international" meaning because it's used in South Africa.
