I'll look into my todo list and send you an email.

While this particular tour doesn't appeal to me too much, I like the idea of meeting up with other people here for a photography-travel-tour. It's hard to find people who actually want to travel (mainly who want to spend the money and have time off work), and especially hard to go with people not interested in photography. Hopefully this kind of thing comes up again!

I had fun doing this with a couple of visiting goons in Bangkok when I lived there, although rear end is my canvas was the only Dorkroom regular (I think). I showed him around Tampa a couple months ago when he visited too - we almost got chased by a twelve foot alligator, and I was later offered a job at a Thai restaurant we stopped in. Good times. I'm really hoping I get a Real Job offer in the next few months, because it would likely give me a month or two to kick around the USA (or somewhere else) before I start.

In a desperate bid to avoid a console discussion in the photography forum, I just discovered that I put a 4gb CF card through the washer and dryer. Must have been in the pocket of my jeans. When I get home tonight I'm gonna see how hosed up it us.

Stick it in a jar of rice to dry it out. I have done that and had no problems continuing to use the cards. They don't have any moving parts or anything.

I just got confused because I've never ever seen a model contract that signs over copyrights to the model.... If it were that easy, companies wouldn't pay a premium for those rights! What kind "model" is she that it's standard to do that?

The kind of "model" that is part of a "tight-knit photographic community", doncha know? ie., a couple of local pervs, maybe one of which who runs a studio, and a stable of trainwreck chicks who get naked a lot. These "photographers" don't mind signing over all their protected rights, because hey, tits.
