Is there a good mod that adds face-protection gear, like a balaclava or something like the rebreather? I miss running around in a really awesome set of headgear. I want something that isn't all modern tactical armor stuff but just some things you would expect to see people use as protection. My second run through FO3 I had this: going on and loved it. It's a firemans helm that was just the cowl and helm then I think those were the lucky sunglasses and that facewrap there. I have seen scarves but they're just... too thick? I am just looking to see if there is a small mod that adds a lower-face mask like that. Plain, black, allows sunglasses. I am pretty sure it was from a mod that added a little store near megaton and sold piercings and gear like the helmet and firemand cowls and such as well as like spiked collars and things.

Check out the wasteland scarves mod. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37121 For a fireman's helmet, there is one in the game already, in camp searchlight's fire station (you'll have to do a quest for a bunch of scavengers in a basement in said camp first though). Combine that with authority glasses and you'll look pretty ballin'.

I've narrowed down my problem to "ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esp". When it is turned on, auto-saving, manual saving or quick-saving all crash my game in certain areas. The certain areas are things like Novac, Goodsprings and a tiny little cave area near the irradiated city in the very South-East part of the map. I tried to revert graphics driver to see if that'd let me keep using it, but it still crashes. Any ideas on what could cause that?

I think it is safe to say Electro-City is the first thing to turn off when crashing. Has some lovely parts like near Novac and the Strip when you first get there.

Eh, since installing it I have had no crashes at all. Make sure to use the patch for Increased Wasteland Spawns (included in Electrocity) if you're using it. To the goon asking for URWL + Nevada Skies - I'm using Nevada Skies - URWLified with the regular Electrocity ESP files and it looks great.

Electro-City won't cause crashes on its own, load order and mod conflicts are the likely causes if you're having problems. I fully believe that NV Bounties can cause crashes on its own since there are scripts involved, but there are no scripts involved with Electro-City, it only tweaks a few cells. Somebody could have claimed there was stolen work (or work that was not acknowledged in the specific manner that the original author desired) included in the mod or a new version got hung up on being approved. Unless there is a development thread active for the mod or the author is still replying to comments, there really isn't a way to tell why or when it'll come back. Cream-of-Plenty posted:Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about this mod. I've been playing around with it for a while and it doesn't seem to generate a "blur" for out-of-focus objects so much as a bloom or softening. The result is pretty subtle (not a bad thing) but after an hour of running around with it, I'm not sure the effect is pronounced, realistic, or pretty enough to warrant using it. That being said, I could certainly see this doing all the right things for somebody. Word of caution about this mod. Stick with the FNV Enhanced Shaders mod if you have a strong enough gfx card. I have found that with it running with the other lighting mods will seriously kill your framerate indoors, where there are multiple light sources. I think it is because the DOF effects are script based, and the said script runs constantly, it tends to kill performance indoors. Outdoors, it works surperbly though. And the mod author knows about the issue as well, and he is looking into fixing it.

Is New Bounties I really generating a lot of hate or am I hearing the frustration of only a few? I've been very light on my mod list and I do not remember having any problems with the mod. Now I'm setting up with about 15 or so mods that should keep me happy until Dead Money is graciously allowed to be released by the Xbox agreement. I guess I will see if something breaks.

This is actually not an archiveinvalidation problem, try opening your fallout_default.ini and making bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles = 1. If it doesn't exist then just add it above [Display] in the .ini. Mordaedil posted:Alright, this is the load-order with that esp enabled: This is probably totally unrelated to your crashes but your WME .esps are in the incorrect order, named and sorted should go below weapon mod expansion.esp. The easiest way to find conflicts between mods is to use NVEdit, which I believe is linked in the OP. Just uncollapse all the areas under worldspace and see if anything is highlighted red. If it is, two or more of your mods are conflicting in that particular area, which can and probably will cause crashes. Sorry for the nonspecific advice, I just don't see any immediate conflicts right off the bat. SheepNameKiller fucked around with this message at 00:38 on Jan 24, 2011 |

The cannibal and the last missions in particular are pretty good. It's probably the best quest mod I've seen for Fallout 3/New Vegas, but the last few missions are literally you fight the assassin from No Country For Old Men and then Judge Holden from Blood Meridian . If those aren't forced pop culture references, I don't know what is. With that said, it's a very well done mod. The voice acting is amateur at times, but for the most part it's passable. (And still better than 80% of Oblivion/Fallout 3's ) I'm looking forward to the sequel, but I'm also really jonesing for some more quest mods. What happened? I remember back in the day Morrowind had tons of mods that added decent quest content, and Oblivion had a couple of pretty good ones. For whatever reason, Fallout 3 had barely any good quest mods.

Yeah, the pop culture references are a little eye-roll inducing, I'll grant you that. And it is kinda unbalanced, though I played it pretty late game, so the caps and loot didn't make that much of a difference for me. A lot of the Morrowind/Oblivion quests were pretty bad though, so I think a lot of people moved on to gear. Has quest creation gotten harder in GECK?
