I feel like I should remove one melee and add two more projectile weapons just to round it out. The hardest work is all done now, just to do the final balance tweaks to the remaining guns left in GECK, place my testing containers in the world and start putting together the first testing package. Which will be huge, even if I am using a LOT of stock resources. Alternatively, add two more projectile and nine more melee. If you give me a list of your current melee weapons I might be interested in modeling up a few additions.

FadedReality posted:I was loving IWS until I found this. I think I'll come back when I'm not level 3. After I installed IWS, I ran into that and high-tailed it to Red Rock canyon, with a giant buzzing swarm of pissed off death behind me. Partway through I run past an abandoned little town, and I hear gunshots going off. And I totally don't remember who the hell would be there. Most of the Cazadores stay at the town, and a roving Khan patrol (and a few pissed off bighorners) help me finish off the stragglers (do most of the work). After everything settled down, I returned to the little settlement... to find a poo poo ton of dead Vipers. In an encounter I would not have survived at level 3. I love this game and I love modding it even more. EDIT: And the road from Camp Searchlight was insane with boosted spawns. It was pretty much one long nighttime gunfight between Legion and NCR, with lasers and tracer everywhere punctuated with random animal attacks and crazy explosions and Vipers at one point. Narrowed my crashes down to combat, typically when an enemy is up in front of me attacking while I shoot. My screen blacks out, then FONV jumps into windowed mode (still taking up the whole screen) and becomes fully white over the course of a second or two. I made a little mod for personal use that replaces Cass' Caravan Shotgun and Veronica's 10mm pistol with Arenovalis' Mossberg and Mac-10, respectively. I can share the .esp if anyone else is interested, you'd have to download the meshes and textures from both mods as well for it to work.

The guy is slowly retexturing a bunch of poo poo for New Vegas and has already done all vehicles (motorcycles, cars, trucks, wood carts) and is working on some misc items (jukebox, pool tables). He updates pretty regularly, and these are some of the highest quality retextures I've seen in a fallout game. SheepNameKiller fucked around with this message at 04:22 on Jan 30, 2011 |

They'd actually jam this sucker in a patient's head through the eye socket to get at the frontal lobe of the brain. A quick jerk and suddenly the patient goes from raving psychopath to docile kitten. Apotheosis posted:Is there a log or something that could tell me why my game CTDs before it gets to the menu? Like Ragnarok said, that load order is definitely not ideal. For example, the Electro-City modules should be as close to the end of the load order as possible. This goes for the Weapon Mod Expansion.esp and the other WME-related plugins, too. I'm not too familiar with using IWS and MAD together, but something about their arrangement doesn't seem right either. I know BOSS gets a lot of heat because it isn't nearly as good as it is for Oblivion and FO3, but have you tried using that and seeing what it suggests?

It sounds like your saves are corrupt, the loading isn't crashing you at all, it's the auto-save the games makes any time you enter a new interior or fast travel. You can test this by trying to wait or rest, if the game crashes on that too then you're just another person who is victim of the gamebryo save bug. There's no cure for this unfortunately, the only way to somewhat prevent it is to use CASM and set a high number of save slots. You could always try the (crazy) old standby of killing yourself with a grenade or something, and letting the game load the last savefile. Sometimes this will un-gently caress up a corrupted save. For some reason, in both Fallout 3 AND New Vegas, this has worked for me

Honestly, after the popularity of the original XFO (for FO3), I'm disappointed in my inability to get XFO-NV "off the ground." So I will be taking a break, but watching. He goes on to say that you NEED to endorse his file on Nexus and click the ads on his site to show him you care. The Nexus page has 13,000 views and 1,200 unique downloads. Maybe forcing people to go to your website to get the details on your mod isn't the way to go?

I think NVSE, or some other utility you have with FOMM, actually requires Steam to work. When you launch the game through FOMM, you still go through Steam, so you get the little Play / Options / Data Files / Tech Support launcher window, get the overlay if you hit shift-tab during the game, still qualify for achievements as long as you don't use the console, etc.
