I remember there being a good Idle Animations mod for FO3, that made the player smoke, adjust their armour and stuff like that, anything like that for NV? Or, failing that, any good smoking mods? I'm having trouble saving a modified texture in Photoshop. When I save as a DDS, regardless of the save option selected in the DDS plugin, about half of the texture is cropped out. I'd but it down to being an awkward resolution for the format or something like that but it's just an existing texture straight from the BSA file with some text changed. The resolution is 1024x1024 so it's not rounding down a 1023 or anything like that. Oh I just needed to generate MIP maps, that was awkwardly simple. Now the alpha channels aren't working. Wonderful. This may sound like an obvious question, but you DO have the DDS plugin for Photoshop from nVidia's site right? And for the alpha to stay, you need to choose the option from the DDS option box for at least the 1 bit alpha or you'll lose it.

Some nights are darker than others, but I guess that depends on the weather cycles and how close to a light source (i.e.- The Strip) you are. My load order on that is: ELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esp ELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esp LUMENARIUMandELECTROCITY - Nevada Skies Replacer.esp ELECTRO-CITY - Darker Nights.esp As the last files on the order.

Is it possible through scripting to have one area be replaced by another after a particular event? For example, suppose I did Custom Quest A which gave me the option to reroute an assload of money and supplies to Freeside. If I modified Freeside to look cleaner and less third-world, could I save that as Freeside2 and have the game use that as the primary cell instead upon completion of the quest? I have this vision for a sort of Wasteland Restoration quest chain where you have the option to do certain tasks which would start to make various locales turn around and be less hosed up/garbage-strewn. The changes to the areas themselves would be mostly cosmetic, but it seems like it would be a good way to let the player feel like their actions are having noticeable effects. I wanted Sloan to look better after I took care of their little deathclaw problem.

A better way would be to parent everything you're going to delete/add to some different xmarkers and enable/disable the xmarkers as needed, either way it's going to be a lot of work. Maybe. The second pic was taken shortly after I cleaned out the Bison Steve. I downloaded a bunch of companion mods--namely the Sunny Smiles and Marcus mods and an infinite companions mod. I hope to have every companion by the end of the main quest. I also hope to dress them in matching outfits and roam the wasteland like some sort of superhero team. Now all I have to do is bring the rule of law back to Primm and I'll head to Nipton to push Caesar's poo poo in with my MASSIVE SWORD

It's putting an unnecessary number of scopes, attachments etc. thinking it looks like something a SEAL would use. That has no attachments. The fact that it's brand new looking is a point of contention but Im guessing since its clearly a gimmick character he doesn't care. Not all guns were sitting at the bottom of a lake before people emerged from the vaults. It's within the realm of possibility that some were cared for or preserved from corrosion in some way.

The only problem I have with most weapon mods is that they texture looks too clean, or out of place in New Vegas. Even just a few scratches or rust marks goes a long way to making a weapon look good in game. Apotheosis, is that vanilla armor dude is using? I recognize the Wasteland Scarf mod, but what about the duster?

Thank you, though it's kind of funny that you're singling out the normal-looking AK-47 when I also use a massive two-handed Japanese sword, too. To be honest, the AK isn't even the worst of it. I have like six weapons mods that add guns that wouldn't be out of place in MW2, plus a weapon replacer that makes the original guns tactilol as hell. Like ragnarok said, it's just a gimmick--I've only used a gun a handful of times, most of my fighting is done with the sword. Gyshall: the duster is from the "advanced recon armor" mod. Chinese Stealth Suit is in New Vegas already. Somewhere in Hoover Dam's office level. Doesn't have a stealth field, though.

The gun runner thing makes more sense now that I think about it but it's just a bit odd for me to see all that rust and decay next to sparkly guns. Whatever floats one's boat Though a cool sword mod would be neat I guess. I might wanna get on that.

I'm partial to the Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit mod myself. It has a nightkin style stealth/unstealth effect, optional different colors for the lights, an enhanced targeting visor and a night vision visor that is honestly not great.
