The action figure stuff hasn't been my thing, but these two guys are really cool looking. Does this look like bionicle or mostly hero factory?

There might be some hero factory buried inside, but to me it looks like it's mostly bionicle with some 'normal' lego bits for seasoning, like the fingers and the red beard. Also from your avatar, I can tell where you've been spending your time lately

Hey, the way to relax after stressing out for two weeks about a massive job interview is not by wrestling with some complex Lego design, but nobody's allowed to talk about that anymore so shut the gently caress up and post Lego before we get in trouble. That guy's whole gallery is golden afflictionwisp fucked around with this message at 20:37 on Feb 15, 2011 |

Ooooh that Tripod Invader from the Alien Conquest thing! Another bit of Lego I'm surprising myself by wanting. I'm a fan of War of the Worlds and that looks close enough to be desk-worthy!

It's a nice color scheme, but the engine itself is mostly just a palette-swapped Santa Fe engine. I'm only being critical because I'm building a similar unit at the moment for my 20th Century Limited so I've been staring at a lot of pictures of the things.

Say you wanted to spend around 50 bucks on a cool set just for the hell of it, what would you guys get?! I'm thinking http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7572&cn=632&d=70 cause it looks kind of kick rear end.

At least I bought it for slightly cheaper, though I have to wait until Wednesday to start building it.

Throw in a few more dollars and get one of these: http://shop.lego.com/Product/Default.aspx?p=5892 Pretty huge build even if you're going by the book, and you get a ton of parts, as well as a rather neat model. Since it's an older kit, I've also started seeing it discounted as the shelves get cleared for newer lines too.

Hey Canadians, Real Canadian Superstore has the Army men set at 50% off, so like $7.50. I got mine free today because of price difference thing. The new price wasn't in the system yet. Anyway, its a good time to build an army.

They're still full price at Target and Toys R Us. Boooo. All I have is the stocking stuffer version that comes with one dude and a tiny little jeep.

This thread and collecting the minifigures has inspired me to bust out my huge bins of lego and build some sets from my youth again. I think the Islanders and the Western sets are up first! Is there a convenient place online that lists every piece in certain sets? I've found instructions online but I'd love a handy guide of what I'm going to need for each set so I'm not digging through the bins looking for one piece at a time as I go.
Check out Death Springs, my free webcomic updated every Thursday!

I think peeron got moved or cloned to http://www.brickfactory.info/ It's the same site and a hell of a lot faster. EDIT: I was thinking of the wrong site, still, brickfactory is a good site if you just want the instructions, especially for older sets.

So, I joined the Dark Side. Kind of. First I have to thank Final Gloom for the inspiration on Lara Croft. Second, I have to say this doesn't mean I'm gonna crank out a bunch of Halo MOCs- there's too many of those already. This is just for my own amusement. And since you guys are talking about the Space Pimp: (I'm tempted to use this one as an avatar) Brick Daddy isn't too happy about this upstart. His purples don't even match! Of course, not all the ladies will fall for the purple cyborg. I'm pretty impressed with both the Brickforge and Brickarms pieces with one caveat: the Brickforge armor/helmets have a texture that isn't bad, but it's not quite on par with offical Lego or the Brickarms plastic. I also think the chest pieces could have been designed to allow the helmet more space. Despite that, everything is nicely made and designed; the helmets even have interchangeable visors! Anyway, just so this post isn't all about unoffical lego bits: I'm declaring this guy done so I'll stop fiddling with it and take some nice pictures. So this weekend should be full of sorting, shooting and maybe more shooting.
