Has anyone tried the Fallout New Vegas HD Texture installer? It's supposed to port a whole bunch of NMC's Fallout 3 textures over to New Vegas but I'm wary of downloading 1.3 gb of textures for it to not work.

What is the deal with that goddamn pedo bodytype mod? You cant go on the uploaded screenshots section of ANY mod without there being tons of screenshots of crowds of children wearing bikinis and brandishing whatever gun it was you were looking at downloading. I dont know how an entire community can tolerate that poo poo.

The HD texture installer works fine. Don't listen to anyone who tells you that it won't affect performance though, the effect is always going to be pretty profound when you go from small texture to textures 4x the size. My recommendation is to only give it a try if you have a decent gaming rig. There are actually a lot of FO3 textures that are reused in New Vegas, so after installing it you'll notice a graphical improvement right away.

I just spent a bit of time looking for a mod to fix the mis-aligned rifle sights present in the base game, and found this. Is there some reason it's not in the OP? I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm genuinely curious if there's a better solution, or problems in this mod I haven't seen yet. Or maybe I just didn't look at the OP as closely as I should have, gently caress, I don't know

Well, looks like Marcurios, the creator of Nevada Skies URWLified has been banned. So now you can't download it on it's own any more. This is fairly annoying seeing as it was one of the best mods out there, and it was pulled before I had the latest version. If anyone has the latest version handy, it might need to be hosted somewhere depending on if the author gets things sorted out or not. EDIT: Handily enough I managed to save the latest files from my recycle bin. If anyone wants this before the author can get stuff sorted I can throw it up somewhere now. Having played it myself for a week, I gave up on it without a moment's hesitation. The difficulty is all over the place, a lot of the changes feel really disjointed, and many of those mods are in a state of constant flux that you'd be rebuilding your entire mod list just to keep it current and updated. I'm gonna stick with XFO as my gameplay overhaul mod of choice for now.

With the new bullpup animation resource released, the new content update might be sooner than later. I've got a regular Steyr Aug + A3 fixed up, IS'd, and animating correctly, a FAMAS done, and I'm working on a few others with bullpup animations. I'm already pretty close to the 10-15 gun update I wanted to do but until I convert the mod into a master and let Anime Schoolgirl catch up I think I'll hold off.
