Joe Don Baker posted:The person I referred to was apparently buying it from some local person who owned a milk cow. They just squirted the poo poo into bottles and she gave it to her kids. In Ontario, there was a bit of a scandal over farmer that was selling raw milk to clients. His cows were tested and found to be germ free and in perfect health. The guy also had generations of experience but the government shut him down even though he'd never had any complaints lodged against him and they could find nothing wrong with his operations. What kinda creeps me out about milk production is that they have to refortify it with Vitamin D and other minerals because it's so processed. But I agree, drinking raw milk without thoroughly researching it is kinda dumb and at no point should you just take it straight from the udder without it being tested.

Unpasteurized milk, butter and cheese is the norm in Europe and frankly tastes better. Do I think it is more healthy at all, no. As long as there is proper regulations in place to maintain the safety of the milk products then you do not need pasteurization. I missed Quivers spouting off her insanity but I bet it was something kooky.

Howard said that it's not coming right away but he will be doing a more limited schedule eventually. Howard said right now they're doing the 4 day a week thing and they'll be doing some 4 days and some 3 days a week. Eventually he will cut back to 3 days a week but not for a while. He said that the show is still on a roll and he thinks that the Sirius service is offering people a lot of options. He said they'll be adding more stuff to the two channels too*. Howard said that they have 30 years of material to play too so this is a good compromise so he didn't have to leave radio. He said he thinks this will be good. He said he can pop in and do shows when he's in the mood.* Howard said he was thinking about doing like one show a week but they asked him to do 3. He said he wanted to keep that connection with the audience. Howard told Bobo that it should be a few months down the road before the 3 day work week comes around. *

When I worked for a phone company a "shareholders action group" was created to overturn business decisions twice as sound as that one. Does Don Buckwald have some seriously incriminating photos of Mel Karmazan or something? And 30 years of content, or whatever he wants to pass off his reruns as? I love the old bits and fights, but listening to a play through in its entirety from 1993 just comes off as dated and boring. That President Clinton sure does like to chase the ladies!

Because the company will fold without Stern. They know it, the shareholders know it and Stern knows it. The treatment they have given other talent and utter mismanagement of everything else is grounds for shareholders to be up in arms but resigning Stern at any cost was not a dumb one. Grabulon posted:It's legal and available, but not the norm. Really? Any time I have been in Europe over the years I have never ran into anything other than unpasteurized milk products, particularly cheese and butter. I dream about the butter and cheese in France. I understand why we have to have all our dairy products pasteurized in the US. If you haven't seen the conditions where we get our milk and how it is processed don't. You won't touch a dairy product again. I can only think of the horror that would happen if it wasn't illegal. That being said I think if you can get unpasteurized from a source that you know and have the information that it is safe take the chance. Most people don't have that option though.

They may have 30 years of content but how many of that is actually entertaining? I'd say that they've pretty much found all the good stuff since they start airing the material 6 years ago. Don't forget when he was ragging on John the Stutterer for wanting to get paid for his Straight Talk show. "I thought I was doing him a favor. Who else is going to put him on the radio?" OK no one else would give him a show but that doesn't mean you should make him work pro bono. If you do a job you deserve to be compensated. Streebs posted:You don't really know how much his staff makes. Until recently JD was working 12+ hours a day, often sleeping in the office, and made so little he had to live in a crappy apartment in Queens or something with three other guys. Plus, whenever someone like Gary or Sal/Richard tried doing appearances and gigs on the side to make up for it, Howard complained that they weren't doing their job at the radio station properly because they must have been too "tired and distracted." You can't win.

I also noticed this over at SFN. Little Lupe news:quote:A porn film director who used underage Colombian children in his videos has been arrested in Spain, W Radio reported. I take it from this article that Lupe herself is wanted by Interpol since her name was used to register the domain. Question is whether she knew about it or what her ex was doing. I'm guessing we won't hear anymore from her on the show or her sound-drops. Thankfully.

The court was apparently satisfied with her proof and let the guy go who was charged with buying her DVD's. She's hosed unless she can prove she had no knowledge of the second site and he used her name to register it without her permission.
