OK, someone has to be able to answer this one.

A probably recent rap song, slow flow but pretty fast beat. MC sounds sort of like Lil Wayne without the rough tone. Chorus goes on about breakfast, and pouring cereal and milk.

I'm looking for a darkish-feeling dance track with a chorus that includes something like "don't <something> to walk away" and another rhyming line. Google only finds whiny love songs :/.

Edit: it's mostly female vocals but there's a bit with a man sort of half-rapping.

Got you in a stranglehold baby!
I need help finding this song I think was in the UK pop charts either very late 90s or very early 00s.

All I can remember is the music video. It had a fella in a black shirt, black jeans and black shoes playing an acoustic guitar on a rooftop at one point. He was in this desolate city I think and it was sunny. I remember it appearing on one of those Now That's What I Call Music compilations but not which one. I've searched tracklistings around the dates but none of them have it.

I just need to know what it is, even if it was poo poo. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I googled "music video man in black clothes with guitar" and got nothing. Except some weird porn.

This song sounds like the man is saying bom bom or pom pom and something something like me. But I may be dead wrong on this. Its a Caribbean (perhaps Jamaican but youtube search for Jamaican pop didnt find him) black man singing with a very thick accent. It was from a youtube video that had either 9 or 19 million views. He is at this outside pool party and wears sunglasses throughout the video.

Thanks but that's not it. Although I do now have a new band I like. :)

I was thinking about it again today and I think the guy was clean shaven, had jet black hair and it was in a kind of quiff. Also, the video was quite bright, lots of orange.

Edit: He looked a bit like Elvis.

IT'S SO TINY

I'm looking for a song, but I don't remember any of it. I know it was a single in the last 5 years, pop/pop rock, and the music video had very little of the band but more of scenes of destruction mixed with scenes of joy. (The one scene I do remember is archived footage of bombs dropped from a plane, morphed into fireworks.)
Anyone have any idea what song/video I'm looking for?

I was drunk in a jazz bar last night and the band started playing a song that I decided that I liked. The only problem is that I was too out of it to ask for a name and the only part I can remember is, ".. she lives her life for someone else". The band was singing it to piano music, but I'm not sure if the original song is piano or not. Googling "she lives her life for someone else lyrics" doesn't turn up anything relevant. Please help.

Ok, I heard a song at work that I thought sounded like Elvis or Roy Orbison (may not have been, but it was definitely an older song) and I swear the lyric went something like "and I still love you".

I cant remember the name of a song that was on the radio for the past 6+ months that sounds similar to the first minute or so to this wiz khalifa song. It's autotune so its hard for me to even remember who sang it. But it was very popular, and the one line I can sort of remember ended in "miami". Hope that helps, here is the song that put me into this mental block...

my guess is something by Rick Ross; he's been all over the radio and tends to mention Miami from time to time. that Wiz Khalifa song is terrible, but at least it isn't "Black and Yellow."

JUST PICK ONE. ANY ONE.
There's a techno type of song I need identified. It has two sets of electronic beats in the background in two sets. Both go: Dun dun dun dun dun-dun-dun dun duuuuuuuuuuun, duuuuuuuuun. The first goes from low to high, and the second from high to low, and there's a guy softly yelling (somehow) in the background of the long beats, and he's saying something like "I'm falling" but I have no clue on what it actually is.

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ape?
This is a bit of a long shot, but I'm looking for a song that came on my Jurassic 5 radio on Pandora yesterday.

Its old school rap song that is in similar style to Biz Markie and specifically the song Just a Friend (in fact, that song came on immediately after the one in question). It starts out with flutes/some sort of brass pipe backed by a beat and lasts throughout the song. The rapper actually mentions the flutes in the very beginning (Something along the lines of "what the hell these flutes about?").

and no, its not Jurassic 5 - "If You Only Knew". Its more old school than that.

Sorry for the vague description, it was a pretty awesome song and I for some reason didn't have the sense to look at who it was by. I figure anyone who listens to Jurassic 5 radio pretty regularly might know it as Pandora tends to repeat songs pretty often.

It's a song with a really strong/hard beat behind the lyrics, which I believe are spoken, by a large black man... perhaps?

The song sounds kind of industrial, and the music video starts with a sort of spacey theme to it.

I want to say the name of the group is something weird like "Cee-lo" but not that....

Okay, so there's this melody I've heard in at least a few tunes. The song the prompted me to seek it out is in "Rex Duodecim Angelus."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awRXMGWrKb4
(The theme is in right at the beginning, begins to change at around 0:26, and is present throughout the song.)

Everyone I've talked to about it, including people in the Homestuck thread, say it sounds really familiar but can't seem to remember what the original song is.

To prove we're not all crazy, here's a song by a completely irrelevant artist
:nws: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOphGZZrE44 (for explicit lyrics)

Even after that, I've head it briefly in things like Donkey Kong or Little Big Planet. I think it may be a classical song, if that's of any help.

I only caught part of this hip hop song on the radio at work tonight. It kind of went like this, I know the notes are wrong but this isn't capable of doing some of them:

http://inudge.net/#ebwg

This was the main "riff" and it was done with a cool electro-style synthesizer. I think the long notes were low-pitched. I dunno if the DJ was referring to this song specifically but it might be from a mixtape? I don't know any of the lyrics.

So I'm trying to think of the name of this rap song that was popular in the south sometime around 2002-2006. All I really remember is the music video consisted of this white suburban family that pulls up to a club filled with black people and is a bit scared at first but ends up partying like crazy before leaving.

I think the time era of the song is mid '80's. It was used as background music in an episode of Married with Children as, I believe, Al ran across a montage of shots of Chicago. It's most notable feature is a haunting saxophone lead that goes something like " Bah nah nah nah nah na na. Bah nah nah nah na ni ni ni nah". also, I think the word "love" may be contained in the title of the song, but not totally sure.
