Karate Kid III riff is great and very 80s. Makes me wish they did Rocky IV.

Went on a Rifftrax bender after completely ignoring it up until now. Watched Troll 2, Over the Top, Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny, Jurassic Park, Terminator Salvation, The Room, and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Troll 2 was probably my favorite, but The Room and Willy Wonka were also really good.

I ended up watching the third Twilight movie last night because Netflix was out. That movie suffers the same unwatchability Transformers 2 had. The kind where I hit info on the remote to see how close I was to the end of the movie (it had to be only 10 minutes more of this agony, at this point) only to find you're only barely an hour into the movie. Good Riff, but you start to get fatigued after a bit of that movie. It had a Hitchhiker's Guide reference right away though, so that's a plus.

Mike was NOT joking when he mentioned that Ralph Macchio was older than the guy playing Terry Silver (the bad guy.) Best riff has to be when after spending the entire movie making fun of Terry Silver saying something was "Perfect" like once he actually says it again and Mike isn't sure how to react.

I've noticed a running-gag where Mike, Bill and Kevin clown on the movies Daddy Day Care and the subsequent Daddy Day Camp. In the Jurassic Park riff (which I watched last weekend and loved) Mike brings up Daddy Day Care when Laura Dern finds the massive steaming pile of Dino Dung. In the newest short "Vision in the Forest" they made a Daddy Day Camp riff. Clearly, the guys were not pleased with the trajectory of Eddie Murphy's career.

The sad thing is that in the second movie they replaced Murphy with his non-union direct-to-DVD equivalent: Cuba Gooding Jr. I wonder how the Academy feels about basically giving him an Oscar for that one scene in Jerry McGuire.

I've watched Twilight Eclipse and The Last Airbender in the past 2 weeks. I remember hearing "If you thought nothing happened in New Moon, wait until you see Eclipse." I have never seen two loving movies that had less happen. Seriously, what the gently caress happens in these movies? It felt so unbearably loving long too. Last Airbender was the exact opposite. I've never seen the show, but it was pretty clear that they shoved an entire season into one movie, and my god was it awful.

I've seen 3-4 other MST3K films including Colossus and the Headhunters where they repeat it, and I really wouldn't be surprised if it popped back up in RiffTrax. I've only seen Jurassic Park and Battlefield Earth, though. I really need to catch up.

Also, I seem to remember that when they had the "Ask Michael J Nelson questions" thread in GBS a few months back, I suggested that they riff Star Trek II. Unfortunately, it's archived now and I've been searching for literally minutes trying to find that thread, so I guess I can't prove it.
