Jonny 290 posted:gimme a tl;dr on drying/curing nippe for best effect The best way to dry nip is a trade secret but the 2nd best way is to cut whole stems and lay them out on a screen or tray in a warm dry place but NOT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. When the leaves are almost crispy dry, strip them off the stems and store them in a jar or tin. You can also bundle them and hang them upside down that's the 3rd best way. edit: I forgot to say don't try to force the drying process with heat or dehumidifier cause that will drive out moisture TOO fast and will take a lot of the good stuff with it. dee eight fucked around with this message at 23:06 on Apr 9, 2011 |

I'll give the story of Esteban. Esteban as James Bond by dunx17, on Flickr I had a lease with an awesome roommate, and a girlfriend. My GF at the time convinced me I should get my own place, since living with a roommate wasn't cool. So when the lease was up, I moved out to my own place and she promptly broke up with me. So I was super lonely. I went to the local SPCA weekly thing and it was all kittens and cats that only came in threes or something. Wasn't really feeling it.  IMG_8627.jpg by dunx17, on Flickr So I went to their SPCA bad cat section, and there were some QTs, but in the giant holding cage for dogs was a big tuxedo cat who was just howling and being the grumpiest thing on the planet. When I walked up it was like a movie. He went up to the glass window and did the scratchy thing and looked at me and meowed. The lady said that Brody had just came to them from Ft. Worth, and Burleson before that. He had killed one of his brothers and none of the staff could hold or pet/him, he'd just go psycho howling and biting (he had had his front claws removed when he killed his brother). He wasn't long for this world, so they said. The info card said he was 2 years old and 17 lbs. So I asked if I could see him, and she gave me a skeptical look, but said okay. She opened the door to the cage and backed up and out shot a blur of white and black and he went right to the door to the outside. It was a latch door, and he was batting at the latch to pull it downwards, I walked towards him, he spun around and puffed up and started grumbling. I sat down cross legged and made kissy noises and after about 10 seconds, he walked over to me and started sniffing my hand, and then stepped on my legs to sniff my hair and face. Then he put a paw on my head and tried ripping some of my hair out with his teeth.  IMG_0916.jpg by dunx17, on Flickr I said I'd take him. He's been a colossal rear end in a top hat to pretty much everyone ever since. If there's only one litter box, he refuses to poop in it (instead on the nearest rug, even if the litter box is spotless). You can't leave any glass or bowl out, or it will end up on the floor, even his own food/water dishes. Whenever I'd use my studio, he'd gently caress it up somehow.  IMG_1226.jpg by dunx17, on Flickr He sheds like a motherfucker and instantly destroys and eats any cable/rope thinner than a standard USB/Mouse type cable. That means all window blind strings, shoelaces and speaker cables are gone within seconds. He stomps around when he's angry and will let you know his displeasure of having company over by pooping on the carpet just out of sight.  IMG_6179.jpg by dunx17, on Flickr But he is the most loveable cat ever. He sits on my lap when I'm on the computer, and puts his chin on my forearm, every time he swallows it feels so gross. He fights me for the bed, and will lay perpendicular to me, and push against me with his back legs. He spends his days sitting in my leather chair, probably thinking of ways to murder me. If I let him outside and follow him around, he runs and finds the nearest small animal, stalks and kills it with no claws, leaving a bloody mess all over himself.
