Count the number of videos of that pornstar John Ship he has uploaded, Spike's fandom of him is exactly as creepy as Tom makes it out to be.

Rogan's newest podcast has that dude from Attack of the Show, and miraculously, he is not an annoying shithead at all and is actually a really cool dude!
They talk about google TV, salvia trips and a lot of cool stuff.

Actually, I don't know. I was pretty high while listening to it.

The only person who might talk about getting hosed up more than Kevin Smith is Rogan and oddly his discussions on the subject are infinitely more enjoyable.

Yea I've tuned into AotS sometimes when an interesting story is teased, and he seems like a pretty neat dude.

So about Rogan's podcast, I'm a UFC fan who likes humor and all, should I be subscribed to his stuff, or is he still basically 'crazy Joe tells you the moon landing was faked, once in a while he has a guest that can keep him in check'?

I subscribed to it because I like MMA and was hoping to get some neat stories. I am no longer subscribed because instead of that I got him talking about how he sees offshore oil rigs as timebombs. I'll still grab an ep every now and then if it's a guest I want to hear more.

Depends on the guest. If it's someone vaguely related to fighting, then there will be a lot of MMA stuff. He does go into stupid conspiracy stuff a bit too often, but there are some great episodes (anything Joey Diaz, the male pornstar dude, anything without Eddie Bravo really). I find the world of stand-up fascinating so there's mostly something for me too (other than being a MMA nut)

It's mostly Joe, Brian Redban (who I guess does internet related things for Joe, I have no idea really), and some random person, usually a comedian or someone related to UFC somehow. It really lives and dies based on how interesting the guest is. If you think listening to 3 (hopefully) funny people sitting in a room together stoned talking about whatever pops into their head entertaining, then you'll probably like it. I don't give a gently caress about UFC but I still find most of the episodes entertaining (especially any episode with Joey Diaz). You do have to have a tolerance for conspiracy theories and stories about drug trips, and occasionally one of them will say something to let you know that they are actually pretty ignorant (one that stuck out to me was someone asking if chinese food was better in New York because it's closer to China and no one called them on it), but overall it's a good time.

EDIT: I mention the ignorance thing because Joe Rogan has a gift for sounding like he knows what he's talking about, and maybe he does about some things, but generally that falls apart if you have any knowledge about the subject being discussed. So don't take anything said as true.

I thought it was pretty good when Kevin sort of called Joe out on his 'mushrooms aren't poisoning your body' thing. I'm a big fan of Joe in general (not really his stand up) but he is really disingenuous when it comes to drugs.

Just to say though, I've been sticking with UYD under the knowledge that every one is better than the last, and episode 35 and it's already looking exponential. I did the same thing too and didn't "get" the first one at all, but I'm a stubborn idiot and listening through, and even the mildly funny ones gets better when you know the next one is going to be even funnier (and when you get to know the hosts).

(Also, http://www.fuckyouchris.com/ makes me laugh every time)

Oh, that killed me. But with Rogan, they're all blazed anyway. Either you'll like it or you'll hate it. Personally, I love it. Joe's a really weird guy, and if you think about it for a stand-up that's only one facet of what he does. In early NNF Pardo suggested they not rile up Rogan because he's a "Millionaire Ninja", to which Mike Schmidt replied "That's like being a President-Astronaut". And he's not far off.
[BTW - 40 Year-Old Boy in PDX this Friday WHAT'S UP!!!!????]

By association I've been listening to a lot of Brian Redban's "DEATHSQUAD" family of podcasts lately, and they're pretty good. They are all kind of juvenile, but fun. "Skeptic Tank" I think is one of my favorites of those. They've recently guested a comic telling his tales of becoming heavily involved with the "massage parlor"/prostitute circuit, and another comic who was a hardcore drug addict. Also on one called "The Naughty Show" where the newest one features the guy that made "Windy City Heat" (name escapes me now) and he tells all kinds of crazy stories about The Comedy Store back in the day.

Adam Carolla has Jesse Ventura and it was fun to listen to. Jesse talks a little about conspiracy stuff, but mainly focuses on SEAL stuff, which is pretty cool to hear about. He also talks about his father/son outings, which are hilarious. The funniest part of the show is the end where Adam is doing his commercials, since Ventura keeps saying "I don't use a cellphone. I won't use a computer. I don't travel because I'm suing the TSA." and loving up the pitch.

I really like Rogan. Sure, he's high to the gills in every natural drug he comes across, and he's really into new age poo poo and his conspiracy theories and occasional lack of historical knowledge can be kind of grating, but he's a real dude, and he's actually toned down a lot of his conspiracy poo poo when faced with facts, and he seems to be one of the rare few outspoken people who're actually able to change their mind when presented with sufficient evidence, and I feel he's good with telling people that this is just what HE thinks and what HE heard, and not the absolute facts-- and he and his guests are usually very funny.

However, if you have a low tolerance for conspiracy stuff and take absolutely no drugs or care about the personal histories of stand-up comedians, the rogan podcast probably isn't for you.
