Centipeed posted:Pronouncing an initialisation like "GOG" as one word is as strange as pronouncing "GameFAQs" as "Gamefacks". It's not right. What? People say F.A.Q.S.?! Weirdos

Honest Thief posted:What? People say F.A.Q.S.?! Weirdos They don't pronounce the "S", they pluralise the "Q". You don't go around saying "LED" as a single word, do you? Americans are freaky.

Oh what a tease. I guess it's still a little wrapped up. I hope they didn't shoot themselves in the foot if something falls through with some publishers.

It IS pronounced Gamefacks. It is NOT pronounced gog. Americans are freaky, but we pick and choose what we pronounce and how.

Haha, that was terrible. Just dont do this if you dont have anything substantial to tell.

Centipeed posted:Edit: Also I am assuming that since all of the hype and speculation was concerning an existing publisher, the new publisher they lined up is going to be entirely uninteresting. It would be kind of hilarious if they spent most of the talk discussing Witcher and Atari and then just before they signed off said "oh yeah and we've signed EA too, check the store". You're probably right, though.

25 games is a lot of games. I could name 25 classic games from EA and probably from LA. But not the others.

Well atleast we can figure out what the games are now. Desperados, probably Neverwinter Nights. The one of "dreaming of the stars" could be Star Trek Online.

Lucas Arts

So they've got 1 for sure and 2 more hopefully in the Autumn. I'm hoping for Lucasarts, EA and Square Enix myself. I'd love to play Grim Fandango, the Legacy of Kain series and pretty much every EA game

LucasArts. Basically they have 5 publishers that everyone has been asking for. They are wrapping up deals with one of them, we should see more news in a few weeks about that. By the end of summer, they should have two more publishers.

My guesses: What game made you dream of the stars? Star Trek Online What game made you ride with the outlaws? Desperados What game made you fear your past? Chronicles of Riddick What game made you feel like a hero? Champions Online I would kill for Chris Sawyers Locomotion or RCT though

Saoshyant posted:The stream crashed for me; what did I miss since the Witcher 1 announcement? What's all this about blue balls? The most sought after publishers according to the Gog users are Microsoft, EA, Take 2, Square Enix and Lucas Arts. They've got one of them onboard and will start releasing their games before summer (?) and two other publishers are on the way, hopefully their games will be available after summer.
