I didn't really understand accounting but aced it really easily. The math stuff isn't difficult, most of the time you're just adding or subtracting. The tough part is knowing how items are calculated on balance sheets, income statements, etc. but you obviously learn that in the class.

It is also a weed out class for the business students at my former college. However, it was because doing the work was a very time consuming process and it came down to being about your time management skills and level of commitment. That said, the material itself was not very difficult. I'm bad at math and did just fine in the class.

Golbez posted:3) Transitions: Anyone with experience with these? It'd probably be cheaper to get one pair of Transitions than glasses + sunglasses, but I have no clue how good they are, if the vision quality is less, how fast they transition, etc. HowStuffWorks says, "An important note about photochromic lenses: because they react to UV light and not to visible light, there are circumstances under which the darkening will not occur. A perfect example of this is in your car." If they aren't going to properly transition in my car, then they're completely worthless. Am I being paranoid? I hate my transitions, do not get them. It's impossible to really enjoy a nice spring day because I am forever trapped in a grey haze.

Simple (I think) legal question: MY GIRLFRIEND is renewing her lease for another year very soon. Her ex has moved out long ago but his name was still on the lease with her up until this point. Now, when she wanted to remove his name off and renew it solely in her name, her landlady now wants to charge an additional security deposit, due to the reasoning that since there's now only a single income she is concerned about her not being able to make rent payments. Is this legal to charge another month for an additional security deposit on such a whim?

What's the name of the delicacy where they get a geese or hen or some fowl and they fatten it up then eat it or some organ on it? Rich people eat this I couldn't remember the name.

stubblyhead posted:What's the largest city in the US (by population) without its own daily newspaper? I was about to say "Denver" but the Denver Post yet lives. Largest city, or largest metro/micropolitan area? If we're talking city proper, then the first place to check would be large suburbs - Long Beach, Mesa, Kansas City KS, etc. And it looks like Mesa (pop. 440k) only has a semi-weekly newspaper, the East Valley Tribune, publishing Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. However, Mesa is obviously served by the daily Arizona Republic, and this probably isn't what you were looking for anyway. So, in terms of largest metropolitan or (more likely) micropolitan area without a daily? Couldn't say offhand. My feeling is, if a micropolitan area is far enough away from a major city's newspaper, it probably serves enough people to warrant a daily. So whatever it is, it would have to be a pretty small area.

My parents are looking at purchasing a RV trailer but the owners are being shady and refusing to give a VIN # and don't have a title. Is there any potential ramifications to buying the RV and is there a way to get a new title issued or should they try and get their money back?

Not to be mean but to someone who has even known of someone who has dealt with that kind of thing; your question may as well read: "There's a bear trap with an unscratched lottery ticket at the bottom, should I reach in and try to get it? The trap might not set and the ticket may be a winner!"

You can typically get a replacement title but it can become a giant pain in the rear end. A guy I knew bought a camper with no title, he had to track down the guy who owned it before the seller.

There are ways to do it right (salvage title, etc) but for the average person they're probably going to end up wishing they had never saw it in the first place. Always best to just ask the DMV in your area, they'll let you know the ins and outs. E: If your dad is just going to part it out then title really doesn't matter. Well, as long as he has bill of sale and it doesn't end up being stolen. My original post was to example how often deals like you are talking about are bad for one reason or another. It will complicate registering the trailer in their name, and renewing license plates and such. It will also be a mjaor hassle if they want to sell it on to someone else eventually. Same thing happened with my parents although they were buying it off my aunt. Title was missing, made it annoying when it had to be reregistered every 5 years, and selling it off to a guy in another state took a ton of paperwork to get cleared.

Assuming you have an Xbox 360 you might be able to use ESPN on it if you also have paid Live, but usually you can only do that if you still pay for cable tv.

Make your porn folders hidden and I doubt they'd show up, though I haven't tested that specifically.
