I remember when Kai En Tai debuted, Togo hit an aboslute motherfucker of a senton on Val Venis (I think). At any rate some point while in the WWE, he hit one and I've loved the move ever since. A shame WWE games never allow me to use as a finisher, only the inferior Swanton.

Not sure, but you'll notice he starts to get really emotional during his talk about his weight loss. My guess would be when he was heavier, maybe he had health complications? One of those "lose weight and get healthy or die" situations? It's like he's reflecting back on bad news he got or something.

I love that he's just outright taunting WWE now about his show being more popular than theirs on youtube. It's so silly but hilarious.

Man, I've spent various times last night/today going to youtube to watch old Beauty Pair/Jackie Sato/pre-Jaguar era AJW stuff and I've come to three conclusions. 1.) It sucks that this stuff is both hard as hell to find and apparently only exists in low quality (video quality, sound skipping, etc) VHS form. 2.) It's nowhere near as technically sound as anything that came post-Jaguar but it's fun as hell. 3.) Mami Kumano is AWESOME at heeling it up and being crazy and trying to murder everyone so here is some Mami Kumano completely ruling. Also fair warning, like I said the quality is crap (hello synch issues) and also they're pretty clipped (basically any time there's a crowd or announcer shot, it's a clip). Mami Kumano vs. Tomi Aoyama, 1979 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxaXXHLvX3I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pN19HDhw0Lw Mami tries to kill her with: scissors (I think), a chair, fruit (!!!) and just plain strangulation. Aoyama busts out Shelton Benjamin-style leaping at one point and also a giant swing that would make Claudio proud. Beauty Pair vs. Monster Ripper and Mami Kumano, 19?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMFBFZcqPX4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxsJaEoLK8c Basically school girls screaming for their heroes, Ripper and Mami being awesome and killing refs and pretty girls. Also, sound synch issues out the rear end (at LEAST a good 4 or 5 seconds behind what happens). Put the year as unknown because while the description says 1978 that can't be right because Rhonda Sing didn't debut until 1979. Suben fucked around with this message at 03:36 on May 1, 2011 |

So a friend posted this on Facebook because it's a local band (Kansas City area) and I thought someone may find it fun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kXckuoAgPY Also I've been passively looking for an old Stevie Ray promo from WCW Saturday Night where he says he's going to violate Curt Hennig. If anybody knows what I'm talking about, please share a link. I know the actual quote but I don't want to spoil it.
