Ugh:

"Nancy Reagan regarding John Hinckley's release:

We could all learn so much from this elegant and gracious lady.

You might recall that John Hinckley was a seriously deranged young man who shot President Reagan in the early 1980's.

Hinckley was absolutely obsessed with movie star Jodie Foster, and, in his twisted mind, loved Jodie to the point that to make himself well known to her, he attempted to assassinate President Reagan.

There is speculation Hinckley may soon be released as having been rehabilitated.

Consequently, you will appreciate the following letter from Nancy Reagan to John Hinckley:

********************************************************************

To: John Hinckley

From: Mrs. Nancy Reagan

My family and I wanted to drop you a short note to tell you how pleased we are with the great strides you are making in your recovery.

In our country's spirit of understanding and forgiveness, we want you to know that we bear no grudge against you for shooting President Reagan.

We are fully aware that mental stress and pain could have driven you to such an act of desperation.. We're confident that you will soon make a complete recovery and return to your family to join the world again as a healthy and productive man.

Best wishes,

Nancy Reagan & Family

P.S. While you have been incarcerated, Barack Obama has been banging Jodie Foster like a screen door in a tornado. You might want to look into that."

Oh that Nancy Reagan and her crazy analogies.

Trump is a terrible businessman. He started off with millions from is father and lost it all several times. He managed to bankrupt a casino. In Vegas. He mostly projects his wealth illusion with reality TV money. Remember that most of his namesake buildings were constructed with money from investors who still had faith in him.

I really hate when people think he's a genuine American rags-to-riches, bootstraps type of guy. His father was a millionaire. He brags about the fact his kids are in the directory listing of the top 1% (because the money has to be in the family for three generations) while pretending it doesn't bother him that he's not.

As an aside..

Holy poo poo, I had no idea that Trump wasn't on the social register. For Manhattan (and really northeast elite) that's a big loving deal.

Then again, he doesn't really conduct himself like one of them so it figures. I think that's why in the past I always found him a likable New York type character.

The Social Register. Thanks. It was bothering me that I couldn't remember what it's called. I think that exclusion is part of why Trump is so wild and brash. Despite coming from the same place, background and schools he's effectively been told by his peers that he's not properly one of them, as he's still considered new money, so he doesn't feel held to the same standards of conduct and does act incredibly trashy, while his kids who are the first generation of Trumps in the register act far more subdued.

Not that I'm implying everyone in the register is classy, mind you. Paris Hilton is also in there.

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

* * * * * * * * * *
Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, and Obama supporters, et. al.:

We have stuck together since the late 1950s for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

1. Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by land mass, each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy. Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides had such distinct and disparate tastes.
2. We don't like redistributive taxes, so you can keep them.
3. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.
4. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military.
5. We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar, and bio-diesel.
6. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.
7. We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, WalMart, and Wall Street.
8. You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless homeboys, hippies, druggies, and illegal aliens.
9. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.
10. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .
11. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.
12. You can have the peace-niks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
13. We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.
14. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness, and Shirley McLain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bill.
15. We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
16. You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.
17. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.
18. We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" and "The National Anthem."
19. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya," or "We Are the World".
20. We'll practice trickle down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.
21. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.
22. Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like-minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.
Sincerely,

John J. Wall
Law Student and an American

P.S.: Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbra Steisand, and Jane Fonda with you.

P.S.S.: And you won't have to "Press 1 for English" when you call our country.

Seriously. I remember a variant of this one going around a few years ago where there were at least a few points that would have been unequivocally bad for "liberal" America. But by now this would unironically make for a better place to live, provided that the republican America doesn't invade it after they inevitably crash and burn.

They've taken the crazies with guns and the military. In the crazy hypothetical world where this actually happened 15 years in being a global pariah and facing crippling debt from the ongoing wars in Iran and Pakistan along with widespread social inequality and rampant poverty I can only imagine the huge rush of jingoistic madness that would culminate in invading neighbouring Peacemerica for constantly undermining their great nation with propaganda and saboteurs :tinfoil:

It would of course be done in the name of liberating the people of that once great sister nation that was deliberately stolen by socialists and nazis.
