I remember Linehan coming out with some blatantly transphobic crap when I briefly used twitter and followed him, was part of the reason I decided twitter wasn't for me. :haw:

On HIGNFY this week, they were talking about Marr and the child he may have fathered:
"Ross Noble: I thought the father was the bass player from the Steve Miller Band? Or maybe the lead saxaphonist from the Glen Miller Band?
Hislop:No, it wasn't either of the Miller Bands."

Was that just a joke? It seemed very deliberate and carefully set up, but I can't imagine them being that blatant about it.

So the BBC cancels My Family yet has series 3 of disgustingly by-the-numbers "comedy" Life of riley still on. As far as i can remember it was and still is, by the looks of it abhorrently middle-class, hasnt this been done to death (not to mention better, anyone remember 2point4children?)

I know everyone here hates CAMPUS but I'm really looking forward to the final episode tomorrow and it's been getting better each episode I've watched. I'd still say that the Vice Chancellor's character is so extreme compared to the other characters it's not balanced (unlike Green Wing for example).

It actually feels weird when other character encounter him because he is just so over the top.

That said, I kind of like Campus. Its got a weird charm to it that I really enjoy. And Jonty is just ridiculous and insane and even though hes completely out of place hes bizarrely awesome.

"I know what poverty is like, my grandparents owned a few villages as a child and i visited their mudhuts".

She was also griping about the experience not being as authentic when she found out about the bodyguards following her about. I thought the whole endeavor was supposed to be about rich folks going undercover to really get to know those who need their help without their whole fortune thing getting in the way? Not to go "live like the poors" for a week so she can talk about it with her friends instead of her pretentious Damien Hirst collections.

The whole idea of the show is offensive and when I've watched it I've found the millionaires infuriating. There's a huge element of poverty tourism. Not as bad as Undercover Boss though.

When I heard the line "You're my favourite customer" I wasn't watching the TV I only heard it. I then looked up and later saw that he had a bunch of flowers he bought from a flower seller. I then verified it all on iPlayer.

It could be a coincidence, but even if it was it's still a funny one as it mirrors one of the infamous terrible scenes in that film. That line of dialogue stands out for people who have seen that film. That and "You're tearing me apart Lisa!"

Im quite keen to watch the new Adam Curtis documentary that is on its way to our screens, It starts on Monday 23rd May 2011 at 9pm on BBC2. It Felt Like A Kiss was the most recent feature length documentary/e* video art installation type thing I saw of his & it was quite mesmerizing at times. It omitted his own narration & interviews, but maintained this barrage of interesting archival footage, I'd recommend it in any format. His new documentary will once again feature his discursive narration & interviews.
