I just listened to the Greg Fitzsimmons podcast from around a week ago and Holy poo poo. He's got Jim Norton as a guest and he tells stories detailing his addiction to sex and prostitutes.

Highlights include him getting blowjobs with a buddy from a pregnant crack whore in his recently deceased grandmother's bedroom

The Norton interview starts around 30 minutes in: http://www.gregfitzsimmons.com/2011/05/06/new-york-jim-norton/

I am going to say that the first episode on Comedy Bang Bang was really awesome. Gilbert Gotfried continuing to take his mask off kept cracking me the hell up. I also love that CBB studios have several antilock chambers.

I'm listening to the new episode now and Joe said "The most likely scenerio is that the moon landings were real and that people look for conspiracies in everything, and if you look closely at anything you can start to convince yourself that it's a hoax. That is absolutely possible, it's also possible that they faked the whole thing."

So I don't think he's convinced of anything 100%, and a big reason why I like his show is that they do talk about far out poo poo like that.

Sometimes I wish they would release an alternate Adam Carolla Podcast where they just edit out his political crap. I find the guy very funny and quick witted and I enjoy his podcast for the most part, but when he launchs into his pro-torture rants or talking about how the rich are overtaxed it gets unbearable.

Yea for all my hate on him, when he shuts the gently caress up about his terrible political opinions I laugh my rear end off at a lot of his stuff. I'd subscribe to that podcast in a heart beat, but it'd be like, five minutes long.

I actually have a hard time even looking at Norton when I see him on TV now because I know all this poo poo about his sexual addictions. I saw him on Leno a few weeks ago and all I could think about was all the street walkers he'd been with and then I started thinking about all the horrible poo poo those women have to go through what with the pimps and the drug abuse and the fact that so many of them are underage. And then I thought about how much he's into pee and I just was disgusted by the sight of him.

And yet, I'm downloading that Fitzsimmons episode right now because I love to hear about this kind of poo poo.

Norton is truly a sick little gently caress but a lot of what he reveals on the podcasts is barely scratching the surface compared to what he's said on the radio over the years. At least it all makes sense, he really is damaged goods considering what he was doing sexually at a very young age. Here are some clips to further disgust/entertain you:

Jim Florentine, he who played Special Ed on Crank Yankers, has recently started a podcast. I am enjoying it a lot, the format is similar to the straightforward and probing interviews that Maron does on his WTFpod, except in Florentine's low-key and crass style. It's still a good interview and gets serious at times, but his laid back, immature approach is refreshing and keeps it entertaining. Recommended episodes are the most recent 3, Otto and George, Amy Schumer, and especially Robert Kelly.

Ok, I'm gonna seem lame for this, but I remember watching Mork & Mindy when I was young (old reruns on Nick @ Nite) and finding it hilarious that their baby was this weird old fat dude. I remember my dad telling me about him after watching it and showing me It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. This interview hit home with me and I can't say how disappointed I was when a good friend of mine said he couldn't stand just hearing some old dude talking. :(

Hell yeah, thanks for this. I didn't know Jim was doing a podcast now. I'm a huge fan of Terrorizing Telemarketers. The TV show prank episode was beautiful. There's a few other old guys that need to be interviewed before they pass away or are mentally unable to tell stories. Carl Reiner, Mel Brooks, Gene Wilder, Bob Newhart, Sid Caesar, Phyllis Diller (she's about to turn 93!), etc. I'm thinking anyone born before 1930 that's still lucid.

I figure it's a good way to remind a modern audience about some folks that haven't been seen on TV or in movies for a while, and those that are comfortable doing so can let fly with stories that wouldn't have made it on a three minute bit during the Carson show. It was nice to see Maron embracing some comedy history outside of the alternative circuit, and I hope he does some more interviews like that.

People have spoken highly of several shows on there. My Brother My Brother and Me and Super Ego stand out as ones I've seen people talk about. Haven't listened myself. I used to listen to Jordan Jesse Go! but grew tired of Jesse's agism (he hates people 10 years older than whatever age he is) and his endless, super-white-guy-into-hip-hop nerdism. Jesse Thorn just turned 30 and has a baby on the way in a couple of months, so his perspective on things is shifting a bit. There's a good interview with him a month ago that goes over things like the process of building a podcast, different ways to raise revenue, and some problems with public radio (like hosts of shows come up through the news side, not through entertainment, comedy, or writing).

Thorn can get annoying, and even though I like JJG and TSOYA, sometimes I'll skip them for a few weeks when I'm not in the mood. But love the guy or hate him, his small podcast network has been an impressive accomplishment for someone during his 20s and it will be interesting to see where it all goes in the future.

If you're into the more improv centric spots on CDR/CBB then Superego is right up your alley. It's all just improv in the form of ~4 minute scenarios (radio show, museum audio tour guides, flight control at nasa, etc) and is really really funny. Each 20-30 minute episode is filled with places you will actually laugh out loud.

Listen to episode 38 of CDR. If you enjoy what's going on there in the interview with PFT and his grandmas then you will love Superego.

The guests are really great, but he frequently interrupts them with his 'clever' stories and always speaks in that creepy affected NPR radio announcer voice. Also, look at him.
