More covered from the all encompassing "ride what you can see". I want to see that from his view cause from the camera that was dumb as poo poo, a tight blind downhill turn...dumb decision.

I'm not one to say you should make everything illegal, but I'm a bit surprised the police put up with those guys being there. It's probably only a matter of time until someone gets really hurt there. They'd block off the whole area consisting of 3-400 cars (racers and spectators), then ticket/tow the racers they'd videotaped and give everyone else tickets too. It would take until the morning. Seems if they got fed up with this enough they could start writing spectator tickets using that precedence.

Did those tickets stick? Seems like any lawyer could get you out of it by saying he was just walking by, as proof is on them. Course it might not be worth fighting a $50 ticket with a $500 lawyer.

Even every day people who just happened to be parked nearby got their cars seized. With asset forfeiture, the cops don't have to charge you or win a conviction. You have to sue the city / state / county and prove that you're innocent to get your property back. Yes, in America, this happens. Thank the War on Drugs.

No worries about the swingarm. The bee tail is so far from the Earth's surface, it never really counts as a wheelie anyway.

A movie about Irish roadracing in the late 70s, recently featured on HFL. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS5g3GmV6vs Their blurb: quote:With a voiceover you would expect for a documentary about the last uncontacted Amazonian tribe, The Roadracers, shot in 1977 and released in 1979, offers a strangely voyeuristic look at three Irish road racers from Armoy: Frank Kennedy, Mervyn Robinson and Joey Dunlop. While billed as a celebration of the skill and tenacity of road racers, certain points of the film seem to paint racing as a frivolous waste of money and I’m also completely confused by the American country music soundtrack. That said, there’s some amazing footage of 1977 Irish road racing. It’s available right now on YouTube in 4 parts. Further parts in related vids.
