Do you think 400k sales of Witcher 2 = profit?

The game cost about 12 million after everything, 400,000 time 45 equals 18,000,000. So yes, they made a profit.

Did I heard they already removed the DRM for other versions (not coming from gog.com) ?

I'd say it would have to be around 700,000 before profit (remember advertising and royalties to STEAM and retail.)

Fixed. And again: marketing, royalty fees, etc.

Yeah, they have.

That's awesome and how DRM should be. Even if you buy it and get hosed over because of the DRM, you can just wait a few weeks and the DRM will be gone.

At $50 a piece that's $20 million. It ought to be close at the very least.

That's pretty awesome, go lack of DRM! Nice to see PC gamers stepping up and showing developers what they want with their dollars!

Well, I don't know what that 12 million dollar budget entails, but they've probably at least broke even by now. And that's a good place to be in two weeks after release. I can see Witcher 2 eventually breaking a million sales.

seems like they are screen capturing a 1080p video played in quicktime, which explains the fps. didn’t think this through I guess. :psyduck:
