As I see it, the problem with most sport bikers these days is that they have failed to master two crucial riding skills: 1) Jumping a fence without the benefit of a ramp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Iy4DLp0WQU&NR=1 2) Selecting a Kangol that can stay on your head at 100+ mph: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2RTRk2shM4&feature=related Thanks for the catch. I'm a little woozy from practicing the fence jump... Marv Hushman fucked around with this message at 00:07 on Jun 6, 2011 |

You've got the same link twice. I still enjoy the jet turbine sound right before the bike lifts off like a helicopter and drops on the other side of the fence. Also the fact she fell off a horse and didn't get hurt, that poo poo killed superman.

Supersport race 1 got red flagged during lap 2, 3 lap restarted race at 1pm. No news other than a serious incident at Gorse lea. A stroke of luck for Guy Martin. Apparently he came in too hot to the creg ny baa, ended up sideways and slid into the padded bales. Stayed on the bike, stalled the engine but the marshall's wouldn't let him rejoin. No damage to the bike or himself but had to go through scrutineering and medical. Red flag came shortly after and he can rejoin the restarted race. Can't wait to see the show tonight and see what actually happened.

Fine vintage brake fluid that was drained from my bike this weekend: From the color and smell of it, I'm fairly certain it had never been changed. It looked exactly like day-old stale coffee.

I haven't explicitly given any race results as far as I'm aware...unless you count retiree's from a red flagged session as a 'result'. If I was giving out results I'd put them in the race thread. If you view any of the 'live' coverage links and have the overall results spoiled, well what did you expect to happen? Anyway, another guy that updates a lot with pics during races from around the grandstand area http://www.facebook.com/AmadeusPhotography or @Amadeus_IOM on twitter. He gets a lot of podium shots so don't look if your interested in results.

No, the guy in the truck should have just slammed on his brakes. Taken care of the idiot on the bike. Watched it again, the guy on the bike gets in front of the truck the slows down to 39mph and is then surprised when he gets hit by the truck. What did he expect? Bike vs car or truck is not a fight he's going to win, so once he got past the truck he should have let it go. Armyman25 fucked around with this message at 17:23 on Jun 7, 2011 |

This is what ultimately happens to those guys who rage out against bike riders; concocting strange images in their head of them being in some kind of 'gang' who wants to steel their women and rob them of their fluids on the open road: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WktxgzLvofU They go crazy and talk to a beaver puppet. Gnaghi posted:I don't even understand what all those bikers are doing there. "Like hey! Lets go riding on a crowded two lane highway so we can practice bursts of speed in the opposing lane! I'm like a racer!" Just watched it again, that is some of the worst riding I've ever seen. Not only does the guy brake check the truck like an idiot, yell at him like a moron to pull over, he then follows it up by blowing past a bunch of riders in their own lane, doing 100+ in the oncoming lane with another motorcyclist approaching, he also doesn't know how to corner for poo poo, and then blows up to the front of the group of rider following by laying on the brakes so the guys he just passed are forced to pass him again to maintain speed. Was the guy in the truck a complete loving rear end in a top hat? Sure, but he's an rear end in a top hat who's punching up quite a few orders of magnitude. The rider is lucky the truck driver is just a jerk and not a sociopath, because if he was, he would have hit him while he was standing on the side of the road, or held the steering wheel to the left for 1-2 more seconds and that would have been the end of the guy on the S1000RR. If you're gonna pass, make sure they don't see you coming. Definitely make sure they can't keep up with you, and if you aren't sure that you can do it, just pull over for 5 minutes and relax. It's not worth getting killed over. Z3n fucked around with this message at 19:31 on Jun 7, 2011 |

We had a local fast guy up at deals gap chase a guy down and applied some carbon fiber to his face. He was coming around a corner and a guy was trying to play drift king with his truck completely in the opposite lane nearly hitting the local. The local guy narrowly avoided him, stopped, turned around and chased the guy down. Got in front of him, slowed down to stop him. The guy decided to bump his bike, so my buddy simply just stopped, put the bike down in the middle of the road (race bike/plastics, no kick stand), walked up to the guys window and applied several carbon fiber knuckles to his face. Picked up his bike and road away. The guy tried to talk to a THP officer. The THP officer was a fellow rider, knew the local, and knew the driver was being an asshat. Gave the guy a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt and told him he'd be going to jail if he saw him up there again.

nsaP posted:http://www.assfaultjunkies.com/showthread.php?12459-KY-10-22-Riders-WARNING Bit of an update to this, the Red Truck rear end in a top hat in KY who ran people off a few pages back. Many of the AFJ Riders rolled out earlier than their normal 11:30 leave time this Sunday. It didn't matter too much, as two county cops and a unmarked (thanks a lot fellas) Sheriff were waiting for them. Three tickets for a DY pass and a quick chat with the cop, he asks if they've seen the video of the red truck? Officer Riley sure has. Told the riders that they're still looking for the guy in the truck, apparently he's AWOL and with federal warrants but that could be bullshit. He says they have more deputies around the area looking for him. So, the story is pretty much ending how it should. The riders did a good job of bringing more police attention to the area, but they likely deserve what they got and hopefully the truck rear end in a top hat will get his too. I used to DY pass when it was obviously safe and haven't had any problems but I'll sure be watching that now. It used to be they didn't care what you did, as long as you kept it legal in the Edit: Red Truck driver 2 is about as big of an rear end in a top hat I think, he went as far as to nearly hit a drat car in the oncoming lane! However in this video the rider/riders were awful as well. With the way they were riding and passing it looked like they were a bunch of assholes clogging up the road just wanting to be seen, their group riding was loving terrifying. I don't think it's ever a driver's place to enforce laws but i can understand is frustration, especially if he had to deal with a lot of people zipping by him like that, in places that were way too short. It's no wonder most of the drivers are pulling into the shoulder to let them pass, if they don't they're just getting buzzed in the same lane! nsaP fucked around with this message at 00:35 on Jun 8, 2011 |
