http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Isi4NGVCIKQ My grandpa has one of these (now with 16hp twin instead of the original 10hp briggs) and it seriously owns. I always thought "coot" was just a nickname until now. They're really the perfect ATV. They can: -cross water -run over brush and even trees with no damage to vehicle or passengers -pull a shitload with the absurdly low gearing -float over really loose mud unless you load them down with a lead bricks -protect against rifle rounds (from underneath only) Oh yeah, and they are articulated and some have 4-wheel steering. About the only thing they aren't good for is freeway driving. Unfortunately I couldn't find any videos of anyone running over 30' birch trees and getting nearly vertical like my uncle once enjoyed.

The reflash is a pretty popular mod for Vics, apparently it improves the transmission shifting big time. I've been meaning to do it to mine, but I have to rebuild the front end and upgrade the suspension first.

Another day, and I bring you another Nürburgring record-breaking lap video. This time it's a Renaultsport Megane Trophy (265hp) shattering the time set by... it's younger, track-focussed brother, the Megane R26.R. The R26.R was previously the fastest FWD production car around the Green Hell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKyfmUJUzK8 (in before "lol fwd those poor tyres") Coincidentally, Sport Auto magazine released its lap time for the BMW 1M track test yesterday. They managed an 8m15s lap. It's worth pointing out that the Renault test was done on a closed circuit, with adjusted suspension and trick tyres. Renault admits this in its press release. I've got no other info about the BMW test, so it's possible that there could've been traffic, etc.

If he'd had it on things wouldn't have been quite so bad. On the other hand, imagine being in that without a firesuit.

I'm guessing they made new rear wing mounts and had to take it off, and then there were no rules that said the window was necessary. Here's a little video about the car taken the day of the fire: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4bRUDC7FNE

http://www.autolinedetroit.tv/show/1525?play Bob Lutz appears on the latest Autoline Detroit with Csaba Csere and Peter Delorenzo. - Excessive government regulation like CAFE did GM in. - "Common Sense" is what we need. - A supercharged 550+hp Escalade was in the pipe. I don't think Lutz is right on that point, if his market surveys say that a super Escalade will take away from Corvette sales, then that's something that can easily be verified. Either it is or it isn't. I'm sure lots of people do in fact just buy the most expensive car on the website - for what other reason would the BMW M6 exist? It's not "common sense" at all. Considering the success of other hi-power SUVs on the market, I think it was a mistake that this didn't get through. - The GTO was endlessly delayed by internal conflict at GM over which department would book the profit.

Yes, surely it was regulation and not a lazy, unimaginative dinosaur whose idea of innovation is "let's take an SUV we've been making for a decade and stick a bigger engine in it".

Rear lockups are typically very easy to control but it's pretty hard to tell in that gif. Either way the dude obviously has no idea how to emergency brake so I guess it's another case of "HAD TO LAY 'ER DOWN"

He locks the front which is why it tucks so fast. You can see the spokes in his shadow stop as well. There is a youtube and somehow his foot doesn't get crushed and he walks away.
