Well I don't own a Mac and all of my calendar info comes straight from Google Sync, which is why it's a little annoying. Not enough to write home about, just something I think it'd be easy for them to implement if they really wanted.

IT really was easy to make. The colors are stored in the caledar sqlite db although the colors don't really match what the RGB value is - there's an image mask over it (same for LockInfo). I had to make one for the default calendar.

I spent more time on grouping them and getting titles for the calendar so it looked like lockinfo.

So, I know there's that small blurb in the OP, but does anyone have any suggestions for some killer/cool jailbreak features? There's just so much JUNK out there on Cydia that it's hard to figure out what's good and what's not even worth installing.

I'm a big fan of MxTube for HD YouTube archival purposes, although it does kill your disk space pretty quickly.

EDIT: Just checked the docs list in the OP, and while pretty vague on the actual quality of the apps, SpringFlash and Weathericon look like a couple of must haves as well.

It's pointless to search Cydia looking for stuff. You have to just look at what others already like.

What I use:

- DataDeposit. Backsup and restore individual app settings/saved games to Dropbox.
- iFile. File management/browser.
- Mail Enhancer. Use a different signature for each mail account.
- CleanStatus. Remove the carrier (correctly) and other things you may want to hide.
- BiteSMS. Improved SMS client with contact pictures, keyboard hiding, and "reply anywhere" feature.
- Manual Correct. Leave spellcheck enabled without it (stupidly) replacing all your words.
- BytaFont. Font replacement. I recommend the Ubuntu font.
- SBSettings. Quick access to adjust brightness, connect VPN, and toggle other stuff. (recommended theme: "Serious SBSettings". recommended plugins: "SBSetting Tethering Toggle", "SBSettings VPN Toggle")
- Switcher Mod. Easily close tasks, hide recent-ran programs, etc.
- OpenSSH. Enable file browsing from your computer, shell access, etc (remember to change the root and mobile password!).
- iSHSHit. Back up SHSH from Apple/Cydia.
- Barrel. Fun springboard transitions.
- TetherMe. Enable iOS native tethering.
- iBlacklist. Call block.
- Cyntact. Adds contact pictures to list of contacts.
- SMS GV Extension / Phone GV Extension. Use Google Voice to send/receive SMS and phone calls.
- VoiceActivator. Voice controls and fun text to speech program.
- Navigate from Maps. Allows you to use Google's great search and then send it to a program like Navigon or TomTom to map out.
- 3G Unrestrictor. Anything that "requires" WiFi will now work over 3G.
- MyWi. Enables WiFi hotspot, USB, and Bluetooth tethering.

Special cases (alters how things work, may impact other stuff):
- MyOS. Disable multitasking and change other system settings.
- FolderEnhancer. Full-screen folders, quicker opening, more icons.
- MultiIconMovier. Works best with FolderEnhancer to move lots of icons at the same time.
- Gridlock. Place icons anywhere.

If you really wanna (memory issues. slippery slope of chaos):
- WinterBoard. The Game Genie of iOS. Memory patching, themes, etc.

Lots of goons (like me) have also helped out with a compatibility list of apps. There are descriptions/notes for most of them:

No idea if this is related to some vague LockInfo setting, or if I'm just going crazy, but pressing the home button while on the lock screen doesn't dismiss app notifications. I know for a fact that it used to do this, and I'm setting everything up on a new phone now and it's not working. It could be related to 1 of 100 different little settings somewhere. Someone help me out.

Enabling that makes the home button unresponsive in the same way that using swipes to call the Lockinfo "shade" used to.

Lockinfo has a few options that can be called via Activator. They're set in the Lockinfo settings and don't appear in or reset with the Activator settings. Several of them make the home button generally unresponsive, especially when the phone is locked.

When I was on 4.3.1 with the ultrasn0w compatible baseband my phone would lock up sometimes and when I rebooted it would go into safe mode. Now that I'm on 4.3.3 with the newest baseband that doesn't happen anymore.

For everything I use, they all work fine on 4.3.3. I think since it's been out a while now, most of the well known, popular jailbreak tools have probably been updated.

Are there any other random options like this which would make the home button unresponsive? I didn't know about this one and it has finally fixed my home button. I know any activator settings regarding the home button will do it, but I'm talking about these apparently invisible to activator settings.

Most ways to call up "Infoshade," which is a way to see Lockinfo in any app, mess up the home button.

I tweeted the lockinfo dev and he basically said, "then don't use infoshade."

Last I tried, ultrasn0w kinda hosed up a bunch of other stuff, but it did fix the bar problem. I have not heard of any fix to ultrasnow as of yet, nor have I heard of a separate fix for the bars. And yes it is a normal problem to have with 1.59 radio on 4.3.1+

This will always be the case when you're using 4.3.x with an older baseband. Installing ultrasn0w fixes it.

Seems like you've kept your old baseband with a custom made jailbroken firmware.

If you want to fix it properly and doesn't mind upgrading the baseband, you'll need to do a clean 4.3.3 restore with an original firmware, then jailbreak that. I'd do a clean 4.3.3 install then jailbreak it by using another custom jailbroken firmware.

If you do want to keep your old baseband, you can do so by installing some signal fix within cydia. But yeah ultrasn0w will make the phone a bit screwy.

Aside from using one of the signal strength apps (which also might be affected by whatever is messing with the regular signal bars), there isn't really any way to tell whether you really have a one-bar signal or a five-bar signal until you can't actually make or receive calls.

It's just cosmetic, but it's annoying especially if you are in an area where you know you will have spotty coverage, or if you are on a carrier that will drop call frequently any time you are indoors :v:

Yeah but its certainly better than Ultrasn0w breaking voicemail and who knows what else.

I am so tempted to just update the baseband but I've gone almost a whole year now with the original unlockable one, so I might as well just deal with it till September ...

Having a weird issue with iOS. Occasionally, when closing an app to go to another app or to the home screen, I'll briefly catch a glimpse of an iAd at the top of the screen. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it's not specific to any app being closed. It even happens in the official Apple apps. It's bugging the shut out of me and making me paranoid about subliminal advertising. Not really.

I've tried respringing and restarting the phone, but it persists. I am jailbroken, which is the only explanation I can come up with. Any ideas or solutions?

Get poof and hide the ad background process. There's something with jailbreaking that causes it to do that from time to time. I can't remember what it's called, but I used to have the problem and it fixed it.

Having a bit of a problem that's potentially related to an old jailbreak

I recently got a new i4 and restored my old 3G backup to it, the 3G had been jailbroken in the past/I did something to block 3G connectivity as I didnt have a mobile data plan and would've been charged a fortune if it ever was used.

Now, on the i4, I cant get 3G connectivity, I'm guessing whatever blocked the 3G data was carried over in the backup. I restored and it works fine.

is there anyway to fix this or will I have to just restore and start new? :smith:
