So, I took my phone in to get repaired and they just wiped it and did a manual Gingerbread install to fix my force close/battery life/connection issues. So far, my phone seems to be doing alright, but when I inquired about the battery only lasting 4-5 hours since Gingerbread, the Sprint tech told me: "The EVO 4G really only gets about 6 hours to a charge." to which I immediately replied "I've had my phone since launch and used to get about 14-18 hours of regular use out of it on one charge." He shook his head and told me to have a good day. EVO 4G users - how long can you go between charges with regular use?

I may be wrong but I think after a wipe, it usually takes a few days for the phone to really adjust to battery values or something... how long has it been?

Also, to update on my situation, since getting my phone back, its been up for three hours and awake for 45 minutes. Its at 70% battery life. Something is wrong with my battery, even though my wonderful Sprint tech stated it passed the battery test fine.

Anyone else getting this bug on their Evo 3D? When I hit the power button, sometimes the lock screen will show only half of it. The bottom half of the lock screen will appear on the top half of the screen. On the bottom half of the screen, there is only black. I still unlock the phone by swiping up on the bottom half of the screen, though, not the top where the animation looks like I should swipe.

Duckman, have you heard any information on the Nexus S 4G update to 2.3.5 that was supposed to hit today? People on XDA are saying it's coming, someone says it's delayed, and Android Central has no idea what's going on.

Granted, the idea is kind of silly if you think of the technology part of it too deeply, and kind of not silly if you accept it as another transport mechanism for home telephone service, in addition to copper pair, cable, and fiber. I hope in a decade though with LTE my wired, wireless (LTE), LAN, and WiFI just becomes one huge routable entity. So I can make calls with my mobile phone at home over relatively low power WiFi that goes over the wired network if it's available, or an LTE station with external antenna if not. And obviously LTE service works with my mobile directly when I'm not home.

I don't know if I'd offer the home phone services to my business customers. Then again, I work with a lot of Hilton, towing companies, and landscapers. It may work out better for the more CDMA oriented business customers.

It'll be nice to offer at least. On the monthly conference call one of the big questions was on cdma walkie (sprint said likely to be announced in July), which resulted in stammering and then "we cannot comment on that." Oh well.

Depends, I work in one of the richest areas of the country in a mall (Franklin tn) so my markups are pretty bad (although I also then have a bad habit of giving deals and marking it back down). My screen protectors are $15 for a pack of 3, car chargers are $30, case/holster combos are $35, and my otterboxes are $50 for commuter, $60 for defender. At a normal sprint store it should be $35/40 for commuter and $50 for defender. So my markups are awful but people here don't flinch that often. Ours used to be that way, but my inventory manager insists that otterbox really marked up the prices, so our margins are not good. I actually now have the power to check, so I'll look into that since you have me thinking. The big downside to otterbox is we have no return policy with otterbox itself, so anything we can't sell we do have to eat. I will say COGS seem to have gone up recently.

If you're in an old house with outdated wiring it might not work. The alternative is to get a phone set that has several handsets with power stations but only one base station that connects to RJ11. The wiring in my house wouldn't work with my Vonage service so I got a phone set with four handsets.

So I wake up today and try to make a call to my buisness partner and I get a automated message that my phone isn't authorized to make calls. So I think to myself "huh, maybe I forgot to make a payment." and I hop online. Nope, I am paid in full, but sprint.com doesn't show any phones accept my fiances phone. Weird 0_o.
