Alright, I have no real sense of what the rest of this song sounds like, but in the refrain, someone with a falsetto repeats "the night, the moon," who I don't think is the lead singer. I cannot for the life of me think of what the rest of the song is like, or even what genre the song would be classified as, I can only hear that one little snippet. But it's very distinctive.

I recently heard a song on the radio that sounded familiar. I'm pretty sure it was a version of "Walk on By" by Burt Bachman, but it had an 80s feel to it. The tempo to the chorus "walk on By" was different than the original version, though. It was sung by a man, i think a band, but I can't find anything about this specific version.

I heard a song on the radio in an arcade the other day. This arcade usually plays a satellite radio station that has upbeat electronic remixes of popular music. It seemed like the slow part talked about "storms" and then said something like "not in our control" or "out of our control". This is probably a remix of a recently (last two years at the latest) popular song or a song that is rising on the charts. I just don't know which one.

I heard a hip/hop song on the radio the other day and my google-fu seems to be failing me. The only line I remember was something like "call her a 2-door ford, cause they just don't make em like her anymore." Adding to the difficulty of finding a song from one line I'm pretty sure it might be someone local, from the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. as they closed down the 2 door ford factory here. So it might be one of those 5th element copy cutter artists, theres too drat many of those.

Ok this isn't so much a song as it is a live video of a dj battle. The first dj is either a middle eastern guy or Hispanic, honestly cannot remember. His opponent is Will.i.am, who is standing around during the other guys set looking all smug and unimpressed. The first guy kills it with some sample from a 70's t.v show, really nice groove. Will.i.am goes up and his set involves alot of percussion sounds and goes on twice as long as the first dj. I first saw this video on these forums, looked up my youtube history and couldn't find it there.

Theres a song i've been trying to hunt down but my google-fu is failing me. I saw it on Rage maybe a year or two ago.. all i can remember of the vid is that it was set in an office building, all the people were dressed like typical office workers.. pretty sure it was a UK setting/group.. and i _think_ it was 1 long shot with the workers singing and moving around the camera and the camera moving through various parts of the building Also fairly sure the word 'cheddar' was used somewhere in the chorus, as in $$ Im gonna say kind of hip-hop lite but can't really remember Emanuel Yam fucked around with this message at 09:31 on Jul 16, 2011 |

Okay, I've tried it here before, but no luck. Recently, I've finally heard the song again, but the radio doesn't have a website or playlist!!! So I'm gonna try again, this time I recorded the chorus as best I could remember. The bass line goes down the major scale and the rhythm guitar funks out, the vocals have a bit of a 70s James Taylor vibe to them, I guess, anyway here goes

This has been bugging me for a while now, it's a rap song and the chorus says something to the effect of "this is for my hustlers on the blocks, (something something something) rocks, (something something something) stash, by any means necessary get the cash." IIRC, some guy yells out "REEEEMIX!" at some point. I tried googling the lyrics and can't find anything. I'm almost positive the song was called "get the cash", but I can't seem to find this specific tune among all the other ones with the same title. Help?

An alternative rock song. The vocalist sounds a lot like the guy from Silverchair, in fact it's so close it may even be a Silverchair song. The song overall is energetic but the chorus is much more so than the verse. I believe the chorus has lyrics to the effect of "I don't wanna _____ your love." or something similar. I can't recall what goes in the blank space though and I may have the lyrics slightly wrong. There's a Silverchair song titled "Miss You Love" and the melody in that chorus is VERY similar, although the song I'm looking for has a much faster tempo and is all-around more aggressive. EDIT: Found it! It's Still In Love by The Stills. Jive One fucked around with this message at 21:35 on Jul 20, 2011 |
