I'm tempted to install that Willow mod now just to see What the gently caress, but I'm not sure that I want something like that in my game even out of morbid curiosity. Pretty much everything that's wrong with the gaming community can be summed up in that description.

Has there ever been any talk about a mod adding Craps to the casinos? Searching the Nexus found nothing. Craps is by far my favorite casino game, and I doubt I'm the only video gamer nerd who feels that way. There are tables in the Lucky 38, so I think they were planning to include it and ran out of time. It's significantly more complex than the other games, but it seems like it would be possible.

Also, seems like a pretty cool smaller house mod on the Beth forums with some neat features.

So I've gotten a bug where the You'll Blind Somebody challenge is stuck at 4096/4096. So everytime I hit something in the head with an energy weapon, I get the exp reward. Given the bullet sponging going on in OWB, this is kinda broken. So I got the challenge's FormID from GECK, but I can't find a scripting or console function to update or reset challenge counts... Is there such a function or am I stuck getting wads of exp for no reason?

I just started modding my NV install and everything is working perfectly EXCEPT that my compass has disappeared. Check your immersive HUD/adjustable HUD settings. Also, you might what to get the Unified HUD project. Make sure you have iHUD and aHUD fully updated, though. I think what's happening is your iHUD setting has it so that the compass disappears, when it's 'not' needed, based on whatever setting you have it to. If you don't already have it, the mod configuration menu is really helpful, especially as it is required for iHUD and aHUD.

I'm totally new to the Fallout modding scene (played FO3 on the 360) and was hoping for some pointers. I'm looking for just a couple of mods that would a) give a wide range of hair (and other facial) options b) make the game look more pretty in terms of lighting and skies c) add extra cosmetic or functional armor and weapons (bonus points if they're scattered around the game world to merchants and locations - not just dumped into your inventory from the get-go). Nevada Skies is probably fits the bill for b, am I right? Also, all the mods should be really stable ones since I'm going to play the game for the first time now, and the idea of sudden crashes and nasty bugs doesn't sound fun at all. Speaking of which, would you guys recommend installing Project Nevada in its current state or just going vanilla with the extra cosmetic stuff?

Yeah, rebalance makes food/drink not heal, and core makes sleeping only heal if you're in an owned/rented bed. That's way too dependent on Stimpacks IMO, especially in Hardcore where they're heal over time.

I'm still seeing weird things with the new PN patch. Edit: Welp, nm. I guess they just released version 10, and decided to post the patchnotes for (the unreleased) version 11 instead of patchnotes for version 10. Because that is the most useful information and it belongs at the top of the page. I just started using Feng Shui and well....poo poo. I think I may be in trouble. The only custom house I've ever used is Lucky Suite 38 Expansion in the OP and now I find myself in need of much space is precisely decorate with guns and trophies. What's a good house mod that isn't ridiculous but still has all the essentials + lots of room/tables/shelves to display things? A Fancy 400 lbs posted:Yeah, rebalance makes food/drink not heal, and core makes sleeping only heal if you're in an owned/rented bed. That's way too dependent on Stimpacks IMO, especially in Hardcore where they're heal over time. Personally I've stopped using Rebalance and I'm using Imp's more complex needs instead. It seems overcomplicated but it really isn't - the only stats you actually need to pay attention to are the same as hardcore mode (food, water, sleep - even uses the hardcore meters to display them). All the extra stuff is there to give you bonuses or penalties based on your habits - it's more a reflection of your play style rather than something you need to obsessively watch. It changes stimpaks to both work as heal over time and you build up a tolerance if you over-use them, but it also gives you health regen over time naturally if your needs are met. It's a nice balance there because it's too slow to help you in combat, but it means you don't need to use stimpaks out of combat if you're wandering around a safe area. They maintain their function as emergency healing while also taking healing off of food and having it function as, you know, food. One thing that does bug me is that PN: Rebalance does a lot of other things unrelated to needs that I do like, but that don't work with MCN. I've managed to extract the headshot script (the one that ignores DT if it's a headshot on a target with no helmet - I'm playing a stealth character and it was pissing me off that I couldn't kill Powder gangers in guard armour with a silenced .22 headshot from a sneak attack 5 meters away, even though they had nothing on their head!) into its own mod, but I don't really have the patience to go and pull out EVERYTHING I like. Speaking of tweaking, I discovered that WME and the Armory's vanilla weapon tweak option don't seem to merge automatically in FNVEdit when you create a merge patch. I've made an esp that addresses that if anyone else is like me and uses these two mods together (Note: if someone wants to host the file somewhere better than megaupload feel free). Related to weapon mods: Is it an engine limitation that weapons can only take 3 mods, max? Something that strikes me as interesting would be a game mod that would make weapons able to take more mods, but have some of them be mutually exclusive based on where on the gun they actually attach (so you can't put both a silence and a barrel extension on the same gun, for instance). Even better would be if you could swap mods out after you've placed them, for more modularity in a gun (add a scope for sniping, switch to a red dot for CQC, etc).

You bastard, I read your first paragraph and rushed over to their page to try to find the new version instead of reading your whole post first. I do use New Vegas Restoration and it (mostly) works great. Just make sure to hold off on activating it until after you get into the strip and the lucky 38 the first time. I guess they changed the cells or something since a few quests don't fire properly unless you've visited the 'original' strip. I just wish they added more NPC's, with the interior gates down it feels much more open and it makes the population seem smaller.
