Don't know how much of a problem this is for other people, but some guy put up a workaround for the glitch where the backpack for a modded two handed weapon stays around. FWIW, my crashes problems from a few pages ago completely went away when I got rid of ElectroCity Highways & Biways. I'm currently using Western Skies because Nevada Skies made the nights extremely dark. I prefer darker than vanilla nights, but that was just too extreme. Also the night vision mode in the old version of Project Nevada seemed more or less worthless. Now that I have the new version of PN, the night vision seems super badass and useful, I thought I'd switch back to Nevada Skies, however doing so cause constantly crashing during cell transitions. All my mods are installed through FOMM, and I deactivated WS, then installed NS. As I recall there was something that was overwritten, but I figured it was just replacing some texture or some poo poo from one of the retexture packs I have. Does the order in which you activate the mods matter? Is there perhaps something else I was missing that makes NS so crashy? I'd guess it would crash about 50% of the time on cell transitions. After deactivating and going back to WS it worked fine again. Here is my load order, except replace WS with NS. I don't remember exactly where in the load order NS was, but it was where ever BOSS autosort told it to be: quote:FalloutNV.esm Chronojam posted:Everything you'd want from a companion mod without the bizarre poo poo they often tack on. Anyone in this thread know how to turn off the visual effect when you're wearing glasses? I went with the four eye perk and don't get me wrong I love pretending to be half blind when I buy a videogame with great graphics because my need to roleplay far outweighs my desire for a pleasant visual experience, but I like having options. Looking at the entire game through cracks isn't doing it for me.

counterfeitsaint posted:Welp. I apparently hadn't found that option yet I really dig the skill system and tagging skills; it makes sense that if you train a companion as a locksmith, they can handle that for you if you bring them along but without the "This companion has perfect lockpicking, survival, free repairs, 100 in guns and a custom auto sniper rifle!" that most mods that think about skills bring along. Plus using a notion of loadout slots for weapons, that your NPC can get better with instead of locked stats, and actually denoting what/when the NPC has acquired a target. It's far more functional than sketchy. Because it's the Nexus there is little hope of also getting the guy you rescue from the Khans as a companion, but it'd be fun to roll with those two plus Boone as a small NCR detachment.

At a glance, you should probably jam Project Nevada - Core above Project Nevada - Equipment. Also Project Nevada and FOOK muck around with a lot of the same stuff so I don't know how well they play together.

Oblivion <-> FO3/NV conversions won't happen. The nif format is different between the two engine revisions so unless someone wants to go through every single nif file Oblivion has and update it to FO3/NV standards it simply won't happen.

My God, does a good solution for stuttering exist? I'm playing with like three or four lightweight mods only (Machienzo's Sound Fix, OWB Fixes, Easy Hacking, Darn UI's and Free Wild Wasteland Trait) through FOMM, on High Detail settings with Water Multisampling set to Low, AA at 2x and AF at 8x — even though the game says my system can run it in Ultra settings. Yet it stutters a lot to the point of being loving annoying and distracting. My computer specs are: AMD Phenom II X4 955, Radeon HD5770 and 4GB of RAM. OS is Windows 7 x64.
